It was my commute car to Grosse Pointe, MI from CMU and back for 2 years. Then, after the graduation party where we chopped the roof off, I parked it on the street at my parents house, and it got towed away! I sold it to the towing company for $0. I had to still pay the towing fee! I will bet that that thing is still running. Actually, the stability (when the doors were shut) was quite good. I got it up to 75 mph with the roof off and it was very smooth. What ever happened to the great Dat-soon?
This car was the best! Anything that went bad I just removed and trashed. The muffler, the windshield wipers, the catalytic converter, and the breaks (emergency break worked just fine). A tune up was just a screw drivers interaction (twist) with the carburetor. I bought it (after my 1984 Ford Escort blew an engine), for $125, negotiating down from $150.
I'm sorry, at 3:20 do you say "a WEEKEND Datsun B210" or "a WEAKENED Datsun B210"? I guess it is now both. This vid is hilarious! I gotta get me one of those convertible makers.
I agree with you, I had a B210 like that one, that ran like a tank and never ever left me stranded, I ran it on the LA freeways everyday leaving brand new cars in the dust.
Lol we are watching you from the future 30 Yrs later lool
