  • Had I known the Nicotrol inhalers existed and how easy it would make quiting, I would have stopped a long time ago. It is doctor prescribed and insurance will only pay for a few of months supply, but it is worth a try. I have a mild case of COPD after 40 years, which does not effect my quality of life and I deem to be a miracle. My singing voice even came back. There are so many people who smoke for short periods in their life and suffer sickness and death. See your doctor and stop smoking.

  • I used Nicotrol inhalers to quit after 40 years. It was easier than I could have imagined because the inhalers are shaped like cigs, delivered a small dose of nicotine with each drag and I maintained the hand to mouth movement, just as if I was really smoking. After 3 months, I ran out and paniced, but I contiuned to puff on the empty inhaler and surprisingly I didn't miss the nicotine at all. After a few weeks, I didn't feel like puffing anymore. That was 3 years ago. It was painless.

  • I engage in inner conflict instead of allowing the fight to be on a subliminal level. I say i really need one. then why it's been a long time, and your feeling better now. could it really hurt just one? yes it could then I'll have to start all over, it's easier not to. So far the quitter hasn't lost this arguement once!

  • @noodzintheblue : You should really pick up Allen Carrs book. I think that your approach, while well intentioned, is misguided. You are making things soooooooo much harder than it has to be. You have this conflict set up deliberatly in your head where you are using will power to battle a strong yen. The problem is will power runs out eventually. Even if it doesn't, conflict will exhaust you and subtract from the quality of life.

  • @noodzintheblue : The most effective mindset is to come to realize that you are NOT making a sacrifice by giving up smoking. In fact, you are NOT giving up anything. Quite the opposite. You are GAINING everything. Once the desire to smoke is seen for what it is (a nicotine addiction and no more), then you can just set it down like a bag of bricks. Then you don't have to fight anymore. Buy, borrow, steal, rent a copy of the book and see for yourself. Good luck in any case.

  • @sxymelissannt Hi, are u still smoke free ????

  • @FadedConceptz Are u still smoke free???

  • Ive been smoking for 18 years, and now i smoke 4 to 5 cigarettes per hour sometimes more and it feels so bad that my blood vessels contract that i have a hard time walking.

  • @TheRandomSweed : Stop torturing yourself. Buy 'Stop Smoking the Easyway' by Allen Carr. Costs about the same as 2pks of smokes. It helped millions of people quit. I can't say it would do the same for you but you need to know the real truth about smoking. And these goofy, half educated, tv "doctors" really don't know shit about nicotine addiction. Do yourself a favor: Read the book with an open mind, absorb it's message, and believe in yourself. Just go for it! You might surprise yourself.

  • guys it realy works with that i repeat to my self many times that im not smoker any more , smoker from history, smoking is not fun and similar sentences repeat them they will be installed in your brain

  • Day 3, I'm only sixteen my dad smokes and my mom quit but still smokes every once and a while and I don't wanna b that dependent been smoking for a few months and these 3 days been hard I'm really craving one right now but I'm just trying to not do it anymore, read some comments and gonna try some tips

  • started smoking (age 22) when drinking at a club that allowed smoking. thought i could control it when i was sober but two days later had the urge to buy a pack of cigarettes. smoked 15 in the pack but then I threw the rest away because i didn't want to live a life of addiction. it was a very stupid mistake but i'm thankful that i'm quitting before i become really addicted.

  • I have stop Smoking for about a week. It took 3 painful day.

    However to increase the process.

    - Drink Orange Juice (Fresh) Vitamin C

    - Detoxification you liver and kidney with TEA

    - Do Cardio Exercises

    - At night Drink Red Wine

Now the first 3 days it was hard but every time I want it to smoke I was drinking tea (CAFFEINE FREE). Stay home do not go to the places you use to smoke, such as bar...etc Slowly you body is healing food taste better, the way you breath, you sense of smell & much more!

  • Thanks Bella...good luck to you as well !

  • Day 1...its tough but im determined !

  • @Hoover5823 Day 5! And it's hard, but I wouldn't go back for anything. Good luck to you!

  • Day 8 cold turkey, its mind over matter! I see people smoking everyday and after day 5 it has become a want not a need and I can control it. I literally feel incredible after every hour that goes by, soon enough it will be 50+ days down the road and this want will become a lost thought. To everyone out there, You can quit, don't second guess yourself..it is REALLY TOUGH and at times you will feel like your going insane, stay strong and focus your energy on the positives.

  • im going back to ecigs somethings gotta give i cant live like this anymore i dont want to die i hope i can quit this horrible habit before its to late becoming a smoker was the dumbest thing i ever did in my life and i regret it every day when i wake up and reach for that pack of butts

  • @carlabean111 Thank you. I'm actually the same age as you. I was 20 when I quit smoking, and up until then, I had been smoking constantly since I was 16. I really think you should give it a good try. Nothing is more worthwhile than regaining your health. Just see if you can go a few days, and you'll feel wonderful for it. Good luck on your next quit attempt. Once you realize how enslaved you are by cigarettes it will get far easier to stop them, since you'll hate them. Happened to me.

  • @carlabean111 When she cut down, it just made the smokes even more valuable to her. She'd pretty much count the hours to her next cigarette. What's sad is that it feels like she won't take notice until she has something go wrong with her health that scares her. And yeah, that is the worrying part. I've already seen it happen. One of my family members only gave a half-hearted quit attempt when he discovered he had vascular disease. Then he got cancer and died a year and a half later at 64. Grim..

  • @carlabean111 I've already smoked AND quit. I smoked for 4 years, not a long time in terms of smoking, but I was VERY, VERY, VERY addicted. I definitely know how horrible the addiction can be. I wanted to show her that it can be done... but she still resisted. She stopped, briefly, then did the whole "just one" thing which led to "just one more" and eventually back to square one. I had my last smoke on November 16, 2009 and haven't had so much as a puff since

  • I should show this to my mother. She's constantly coming up with excuses not to quit. It's really starting to get on my nerves because getting through that wall of irrationality is almost impossible.

  • This is really awesome. Now I feel like getting positive thoughts to quit smoking. Instead thinking about quting the smoking, this video shows how we can get back to were we start. I makes to think and quit smoking. who ever upload this video me and my family was very thank full for you .
