  • Lol from a far she looks like a purple bundle on a horse :) That horse looks really good when it trots

  • i had my first(official) canter, today

    up a super steep hill

on a draft horse going major fast xD

it was GREAT, cantering is the most comfortable gait(for me)

  • What a cutie pie..:)

  • So young and so cute !!!!!

  • I could not tell that was her first. Very well ridden

  • She should ride a shetland pony x

  • Wow...that's a honest horse. :) :) But I think she should ride a little pony instead for a big horse. :) Good job. :D

  • awwweeee good job girly!!! <3 to you!!

  • She is so cute!

  • awwwwwwwww lol

  • My first time I just smiled and smiled.... second I fell off

  • @Planethansen10 lol the first time i cantered 2socks took off on me now i have redmon and he bucks

  • She rode it well lol

  • It's adorable when she starts crying:')

  • The horse is way too big for her!

  • That horse is a saint. :')

  • she is really GOOD! and cute

  • i started cantering when i was 2...... but hey! i didn't say i was good at it unlike this little cutie!!!!!

  • aw so cute! i didnt canter till i was 9 :)

  • @xxAngel82xx maybe that horse maybe is that horse for beginers (however u spel it) just like my horse/pony is.and now,im on canter...YAY :D

  • @SuperAlyProductions Well done for being on canter!! :-) I just don't think teaching a child on a horse that is quite obviously too big, is the best idea. At the yard I ride at and my kids ride at, they give you a pony/horse that is suitable for your height and weight.

  • She shouldn't be riding that horse at all, never mind cantering on it, it's way too big for her!!

  • @xxAngel82xx doesnt matter about the size of the horse, as long as it has the right attitude, and isnt too bouncy. this horse clearly has a very good attitude and isnt bouncy at all...

  • @nutter666f Yes but how can you possibly teach a child to ride properly if they are on a horse that is far too big for them. Riding isn't just sitting on the horse and letting it go. At the yard that I ride at they take kids from 5 years old and give you a horse that is suitable for your height and weight. She did very well thoguh bless her.

  • @xxAngel82xx the first stages of riding for all very little children like in this case are just to get them used to being on a horse and comfy with the way horses move. once they are used to being on a horse in general, and have got developed a little balance and prehaps can do some rising trot without having to hold on, then is the time to introduce them to a pony they can begin to learn to steer, go and stop on, though in this case im fairly sure they could learn this on this nice horse.

  • @xxAngel82xx then when she is a little older and can respond to more instructions pop her on a pony that fits a bit better to teach her more, but plenty of people can learn no problem on a horse that is "too big for them". afterall, if they dont grow into particularly tall adults they will be riding horses "too big" throughout thier lives.

  • man,she was brave.i would have fallen off in an instant since im not learning canter yet. im still on trot. :(

  • if you pause it at the end you can tell she is crying. But she is still amazing.

  • i got scared too but i stood on . i love to canter now. it is super smooth

  • I was cracking up on my first canter! (14 years old) Well, come to think of it, the horse I was on bolted into a gallop. It was awesome!

Anyways she is a cutie! :D

  • awwww i almost cried when i cantered the 1st time too! ...well my horse kinda took off with me, but awww shes so cute:]

  • I remember being too scared to trot xD I was 6 ish at a camp

  • when i first cantered, i fell. flat on my face. at the age of 8. and that little girl stayed on the whole time! :) so cute by the way.

  • @Lulucupcake252

    Me too!

  • Great posting job haha

  • aww bless her. i was all over the place and kept saying "HELP! HELP!"

  • @11and15productions ME TO BUDDY!

  • cute :)

  • She's going to be amazing when she's older!!

  • aww don't cry, she actually did really well for unexpected

  • Ya know I was jus about to go off on a tangent on how she should be on a pony..then i remembered something...All the times I got dumped from a horse he'd come back with that puppy dog sorry look...while the lil girls on those 'oh so cute ponies'? Ya..they'd toss them and come back n kick 'em for good measure...so yea put the lil darlin on a clunky warmblood/draft neday! hahahaaha

  • Aww I remember my first canter too! Luckily we were headed straight for a corner so Scooter stopped. :) But now I'm leasing a horse and I'm so happy cuz I taught myself how to canter bareback- I think it's easier than with a saddle actually. :)

  • Awwwwuh she looks scared at the end!

  • That awkward moment when a 4.5 year old's first canter was better than yours....

  • My first time was that age too! I was on a longe line learning to trot on a horse named TNT. Were in an indoor arena with squeaky doors and he got excited. Only, I fell off and got my foot stuck in the stirrup. I know the whole "gotta get right back on" thing and believe me I would have if I weren't just a little kid, but I didn't :( Now I'm doing 4' jumper courses! There's a first for everything I guess...

  • aaaww :) i remember my first canter. I was 13 years old and when i managed to make horse canter, i cried from pure happiness :)

  • She is amazing!!! and sooo cute!! her first canter was WAAAYYY better than mine!!!!

  • That horse is too big for her

  • @horsegal1999 It's just a pony...at that age, everything looks big. She did fine.

  • @Rawr13770 good point. And she did better than me, and she is much younger than me. I had to go into two point.

  • @horsegal1999 Draft breeds such as Belgians can make great beginner horses.

  • My first canter was on accident as well when I was about her age, on a pony called BigENuff, was great :)

  • It's okay! I cried to! Just because it was scary! I mean Black Jack was awesome but I cried until I got off of him! But it's weird because the next time I cantered I thought it was fun! So don't feel bad about crying! Because it happened to me to! If you still cry while cantering, you can borrow one of my two Shetland ponies! Classy a 14 year old mare that has a blaze and has a brown coat or Buddy a 7 year old stallion who has the color of peanut butter and has a snip both of them are very nice!

  • Nawrrr u casn just see her face screwing up!! :L x

  • awww she did very good:)

    great trainer!

  • if shes that younge all ready cantering shes going to get soo far at such a younge age!! =-)

  • OMG! So adorable!

  • OMG THAT IS PRECIOUS!!!!

  • Awe so cute, good job!!

  • my first canter was on a horse who i didnt like but now i can do it with out stirups

  • She is WAY too small for that Horse!

  • @DeerhamsGirl101 That is just not true. The larger draft breeds often make the better child friendly horse.

  • cool a little kid didnt fall down! like today i fell off a spooked horse and im 9

  • AWWEEEE >>> adorable little girl :)

  • aaww she did so good!! That horse seems so smooth she doesn't bounce at all!

  • wow she did great for a first canter =) my first canter was accidental too but when I stopped him i fell off mum said I just sat there laughing whilst she was freaking out

  • Well Done! :)

My First Canter Was Very Scary On A Little Bumpy Pony! :) xx

  • Poor little kid!!!! That happened to me. Scary stuff yall!!! :)

  • why is there always small children on huge horses in the usa ?? all the lesson horses in sweden for children is like from 10 to 14 hands :P

i would put her on something like 10 hands haha :P

  • @kaulitzLL cuz americans aren't scardy cats

  • @PolishxPerson884 or you just dont care about your children :)?

  • @kaulitzLL My first canter was on a thoroughbred who was around 16.6hh. Big horses have a smoother canter so they don't bounce around as much.

  • @xthexscarsxofxlifex no such thing as 16.6hh...

& in my experience anyway, that's not true. I rode a 16.2hh horse for a year and a half, and he had an amazing canter, but now, my horse, Amy, is 17.1hh and because she's bigger she has a much much longer stride, making it much harder to sit. Maybe that's just conincadental, but I think it depends on the horse and the size of their stride, which can be changed by half halts and trotting/cantering poles...

  • @kaulitzLL Larger warm bloods and drafts are often the better horse because they tend to have a better temperament than the smaller hot bloods and ponies.

  • Awww don't cry it was really good ;)))

  • awweee. Did she cry? :( Shes so cute :)

  • Wow she is soooo good! I can't believe it was her first time cantering she did very well! I wish my parents took me for professional riding lessons when I was her age :) I feel so embarrassed by her because she, at age 4.5, rides way better than I do at age 22 lol

  • cutest thing in the world!

  • awwwww. was she crying at the end!?

    Poor her!

She did a great job though since it was unexpected(:

  • For my first canter, it was totally unintentional, the pony I was riding, Ronan, was my cousin's pony and he absolutely hates going through puddles in the school, so he decided to canter a couple of steps, but it was raining so the saddle was slippery... :P When I got home I was like "Mum, I fell off today" and she was so worried, but it was so cool, and I can gallop now :) good job for your first canter lol x

  • ho poor her, she was afraid! lol well, she had a good experience!

  • See I know what it feels like it's scary but then you say hey that was fun! Was she crying at the end and what a smooth gait

  • she did so great i would have freaked haha.

  • Was she also jumping

  • lol aww!!! she did sooooo good for only 4 and it being her first time!!! :D

  • omg i was sooo scared when i first cantered cuz the horse i was riding was being stubborn and my trainer had to chase him with a crop LOL! i eventually got it though :P

    she did so well!

  • OH MY GAWD. so cute!

  • :P on my first time cantering I almost fell off :P good job!!!

  • why did she start crying?! lol

  • My first canter was unexpected. My second lesson, the horse charged for the trotting poles we were meant to be going over and a canter then jumped over all three :D I was 6.

  • such a small kid big horse so cute

  • that was incredible. My first time was out on the trails and it was unexpected. a piece of the bridle fell off and he spooked. I screamed a bit but we were okay. And then not too long after, maybe an hour or two, he spooked again at a dog jumping out of the bush and that was my first time galloping! I was 13^^

  • aww! good job audrey! my sister is 4 too but shes still only trotting (:

  • lol my first canter was a surprise too. I was at a little barn show and they told me it was a walk trot show but apparently it was a walk trot canter. I had basically just learned to ride (english) I was western before, and it was my turn in the ring and they said to canter and i was like oh crap! but i did it because i didn't want to look bad and I was a natural <3 I love cantering now. So my first canter ever was also my first canter in an english saddle. (btw, I never went back to western xD)

  • was she crying at the end?

    bless her :)

  • that 1st canter was great (even tho she didnt mean it) mine was on a horse named Spencer and i didnt even have the right lead

  • lol my first canter i was just bouncing i didnt slide in the saddle like ur supposed to

  • that first canter was way better then mine she looked like she'd done it before!

  • omg that women scared the horse!! it made it canter

  • @Gemsy97XX No she did not!

  • Wisconsin.

  • @iluvHootiethepony2 I really dont think that is a problem, a lot of young childred are riding but I think they should have someone that walks/runs along so THAT won't happen. Young children could get really scared if they did not want the horse to canter but it did.

  • @az09mcr haha that must have been really scary!

  • WOW she is good! the horse is a little too big though no offense! but cute!

  • Aww its ok i cried my first time and i was 13!!!

  • @CrazyHorseLover14 My first time was when I was twelve and I yelled something like 'WOOHOO~!' because I got totally excited xD

(And it doesn't mind that you've cried - everyone has his/her first time (: )

  • Amazing!! That was beautiful!! You started riding when you were 3! I started when I was 7! wow! good luck in your equestrian career, Audrey!

  • She is amazing even had the moving motions good jump audrey!

  • wow that is amazing!!! she really kept her cool and knew exactly what to do. i have seen 12 year olds fall off from something like that... i cant believe she is only 4!

well done, Audrey! keep up the good work!

  • Dude, look how calm and cool she is. Great position and everthing. In a few months you wont be puting a video up of her posting, but her cantering.

  • Awesome! Great Job! I would have fallen off way back at the other end. ;^)
