i'm pretty sure it was at least the first robot to use a pneumatic flipper rather than a lifter , it was in heat 2 of series one and no robots in heat 1 or 2 had that type of weapon apart from recyclopse
The Firestorm team of Graham, Alex, and later on Hazel must be proud of themselves because not only were they the first team to topple Sir Killalot but also the first ones to topple Mr. Psycho so that is a huge accomplishment for this team!!!!
Does anyone agree that Cassius completed the Gauntlet in the fastest time ever?

My opinion on the bots..:
Sting: Its a bit simple for me, but is pretty nippy!
Cassius: I thought this would be good, but i didn't know how good!
Groundhog: Nice design and very original, also the same people that made Firestorm, 3 times grand finalist
Loco: Bit of a humorous robot, i liked it!
Rampage: Nice little bot, poor handling though..
Wizard: Im not the biggest fan of this robot, it looks like something that would look good flipped by WBC

It's really sad that Cassius was retired after series 3. It should have kept competing for another couple of series at least.

It was retired in protest because Rex Garrod felt that Robot Wars was getting too dangerous.

My opinion of the robots (in oreder of apperence):
Sting-Nice but a bit too slow and sluggish
Cassius-Best robot in the heat! Nice sleek wedge design
Groundhog-Bit too big and too complicated
Loco-Nice bit could be flipped over easily i thought
Rampage-My second fav! Like it's innotive design. Could''ve done well in the football
Wizard-Nice, good design

Cassius was a true classic robot and the inspiration of so many robots in later series... it was the first robot with a SRiMech.
Hypnodisc was another inspiring robot, so destructive that robot builders quickly learnt to give their machines much heavier armour.
