What a naive comment. A luxury car should deliver luxury to its passengers. This is something the S-class does so much better than its competitors. If i wanted a performance luxury car, I wouldnt buy a 7. Its oversized and its not as luxurious as a Mercedes. Buy a Z4, there is your performance luxury, better yet, go buy a porsche.

My question is why they don't bring a V8 diesel over here. Though the 5.5 V8 has to be the best in the business. Its amazing how many of these I see on the road (I live in a small horse town) and they're all over $100k. But Mercedes does make their cars like vaults and they have class that no other auto maker can match. Hope they keep it that way.
