wait... you still need to plug it into the computer to use the software? So this is basically just a usb audio interface? whaaat?
What would be awesome would be if you could take the computer out of the equation, and basically had some sort of stomp box with a screen allowing you to customise your sounds. Would be amazing for live stuff.
this only has 3 amps...POD Farm has waaaay more tonal possibilities and way more effects. It has 5 bass amps alone and over 10 guitar amps. Plus mic preamp models
I ditched my Toneport for the Native Instruments Guitar Rig. The Native instruments Guitar rig is easier on my PC memory, plus the sounds rock way better then the tone port.
I guess what advantage does this thing really give you over something like the Digitech RP series that has the same recording/USB functionality and or the Pocket POD's etc... Those are more mobile than guitar rig that requires a PC. Still sounds good... I could see how it can come in handy though.
So does this mean I can plug it into any computer? Does it work without a computer? I don't think I grasp what is so mobile about it other than that one box is small.
Maybe I'm missing something obvious. I would appreciate some help here.
here's a question. ive heard of people that plug their amps to their computers from the headphone jack. I already have a line 6 pocket pod and i'm thinking of recording with this method but through my pocket pod. would my sound quality sound better with a pocket pod of a guitar rig mobile.
actually i've mad up my mind on my own and i think i'll get the guitar rig mobile. i tried the method i was talking about before and there is a lot of feed back.
if u are good at sining i would recommend getting the rig sessions cuz it has a slot for phantom power which most mics need to use to plug into the pc
What about latency?

What if I install it on my current PC but then get a new one? Will I have to get new software, like Windows would make you do?

is there any difference between the software from the mobile one and the one with the pedal?
SchoolofRockNRoll 2 years ago
Does it have to be plugged into a computer to work, or is it all just in the Guitar rig mobile? Just pick up and go? And if so, how?
brunofamily1 2 years ago
you need to plug it into a desktop or laptop. external powered moniters are optional

This seems better value than the POD studio. The software looks better

Can I plug this into my current amp and record from my amp? or do you have to use it as an amp?
Also, can you save your recorded files as WAVs or MP3s?

You'd probably need to connect a mic for drums.

Another crap guitar sim....like we need another one!
TheStrugglingArtis 2 years ago
Sim?
Pardon, but this is an audio interface to connect your guitar to your PC, and then to the Guitar Rig program.
It's meant to act as an amplifier, which LOTS (I really mean thousands) of effects.
Not extremely mobile as it needs a PC, but regardless, I wouldn't call it complete crap.
