Despite beating the final level, it never ends. A good reason to stay away from this game. I'd rather play a hack called Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 1.

The last unique level? So, there are levels that repeat? I was hoping that Sonic Team developed a program that created 134,217,728 unique stages. I guess even the repeating stages would be seen as different from eachother if even only one sphere got a new location, even if said new location is just one space away from where it used to be... It seems like it'd be hard to make a program to make sure similar layouts weren't used and, since that world isn't too large, the # of 'em would be less.
