  • This version is really bad. But better tha the C64 version I've seen on youtube.

  • this game brings up so much frustration you would not believe...there were no memory cards back in those days guys imagine how sucky it is starting back from the beggining everytime you switch your system on this song gave me an instant headache lol im not lying

  • giant Sub Zero boss 1:10

  • Comment removed

  • At least, in this NES version there's no "jump of death" at the stage where it's 5:30. I used to own the SMS version and it just kills every time you attempt to jump that part. :* (

  • don't you love this 8-bit games? GOOD TIMES!

  • this game was so much better on the master system...

  • why the hell did sega port this to the nes?

and why did hudson port mega bomberman to the sega genesis?

  • Why did Tengen port this to the NES? Because most gamers preferred the NES console more than the SMS console back then.

  • Gametrailers called this one of the best 8-bit games?

  • I used to play this game until I found out what the hell is wrong with it. First off! A ninja's shurikens that fly unswiftly? the music never ends too and how come some of the boss battles are no planned right? how is it exciting to the 1st boss when he's just standing there throwing maces at you and how you're able to walk on air attacking the 2nd boss?

  • to think i thought this was actually good 20 years ago

  • Gameplay looks much smoother than the sms version

  • You wish. The gameplay in this sucks. It moves too slow, the characters looks ugly and the main characters movements look awful. The game looks ugly too and the music is gay. Even the 1st boss looks stupid. He looks like a short fat Ninja Wannabe in this version.

  • What's evern weirder is that all the music tracks from the original arcade game (and the "lose a life" track from the SMS version) are present in the game's code -- but most were unused.

Although this version is crappy, I do have to give it one thing, albeit a small one -- it had an ending screen. The Master System version just shows "GAME OVER" when you beat it.

  • Now that I watch this video again. Yes it does have an ending screen but the rest of the game is so awful. I mean what is up with the have pogo sticks. Not to mention the green Ninjas don't even come after you in this version. They walk around like morons. And where are the red Ninjas? At least in the SMS version the Ninjas pretty much act like they do in the arcade version.

  • this is shinobi game at 4:47? i fast foward and dont see.

  • They did such a bad job of porting this from the arcade!!

  • it was easier in parts because there wasn't the bonus stages.

  • You know on its own it really ain't that bad. Compared to the Master System and arcade its horrible though.

  • THIS VERSION SUCKS ASS!!!

  • It sucks because it was made by Sega, who at the time hated Nintendo, so they made a good version on their console and a shitty one on the NES.

  • No, Tengen made this without Sega's permission.

  • Oh I see.

  • They licensed it from Sega... they made it without Nintendo's permission.

  • Shinobi and After Burner for the NES?!!

Man Nintendo did terrible job or porting the games to their gray garbage box.

The two ports to the NES are so terrible that I can hardly recognize them as the same games.

The colors, spites, and sound tracks are so toned down from the SMS, Sega Genesis, Sega arcade, and 32X that its just a disgrace to the titles.

Its like re releasing Sonic 2 for the Genesis onto the Atari 2600.

  • Nintendo didn't do it...it was Tengen.

  • ROFL I like how you jump on stage 2:3 to avoid saving the kid. But yeah, this game is an insult to the arcade. The only thing it got right was the "STAGE CLEARED" music.

  • What a pity the third bosss couldn't have been that easy on the master system port.

  • this game stunk it up and was an insult to its arcade masterpiece hit that took the arcades by storm in 1987.

  • LOL!! I Had this game on my NES emulator It sucks. He moves faster when Crouching

  • Geez, Shinobi never fought in the sky. He's supposed to fight on the ground against the copter. This is actually good looking port compared to the arcade. It has all the levels and enemies as well, but the shinobi in this looks like a military guy and there was better music on Arcade as well as the fact it doesn't look crappy AND you got ninjitsu. You can easily tell this game is unlicensed because it's SEGA game on a Nintendo system back from the console war time.

  • Widget moves faster than this!

  • The music is constant until you beat the game.

  • best ending ever

  • Were those pictures of Madonna at the second part of level 1 ?

  • marilyn fucking monroe!

  • Marilyn Monroe

  • holy shit he killed the shredder

  • so that's how you beat the helicopter :O

  • Gee, And Armake21 tried 827 times and no luck. That's all he had to do to save himself from the verge of suicide

  • ROFL, omg so true...

he was too busy killing ninjas and didnt go for the heli...LMAO

  • Not one of the better NES games...And "hentaiseeker" Oh dear, oh dear...

  • This game isn't hard. The graphics are kinda strange though on the NES.

  • cool, saved me time from playin this difficult game:)

  • interesting. i have the permission from neofix to publish this one. i am not misleading anyone, you can read the description or the guidance on my site. anyway what is your problem you are concerned about? nothing to do in your own life?
