Gotta wonder how the secret about these guys was kept so long. I read somewhere that Brian Epstein kept them under wraps and that's why they left England and settled in the United States after getting the record deal with RCA.They sure deserve greater appreciation.
OMG... what varied selection, demonstrating a lot of versatility...nice to put on ,with the volume up, while working on other stuff...that self penned tune "She's Mine" and their version of Curtis Mayfield's " Sister Love" are standouts for me.
@NcicHit2 Airplay in the Sixties in the US depended on where you were. I lived in Seattle , Wash. and Orlando Fla and these guys were big in both places and got airplay there. Many tunes then were only regional hits ab nd radio stations were independently owned. Nowadays a few companies own radio stations all over and control playlists that used to be controllled by the djs who usually sponsored concerts for the bands they would give airplay too.I saw them twice in Seattle , they were great live.
Easier to find if on separate channels before you deleted...15 minutes is a long listen...I like it but may be too long for others just tuning in to these guys. Stiill the LP5 were terrific.
@Oddsman57 I was going to shorten it up but I got to lazy after losing all those songs. That was a lot of time and work putting them on line. I may shorten them up after I catch up with what I deleted.
Very original grouping of tunes.....well worth listening to.
