  • "So real they almost touch you"... now hold on a minute there buddy!!!

  • Now here's a real scream, 0:27, not like the sissy screams of today's movies... it's also very strangely arousing...

  • The 50's sci fi films have an innocence and charm that today's gory films can't touch. Sometimes you don't want things to be realistic and senses bombarded--then its time to escape to the past and crisp black and white images of well dressed men and women and well behaved monsters.

  • I love these old 50's Sci Fi stuff. There's nothing like it... I'd like to see a Tarantino 50's style Sci Fi. Heh! that'd be something to see. :)

  • Old films had so much concept and creativity, imagination, now it's so tamed and cliche.

  • 3D

  • It is funny how they thought back in the 50s that there would be a third dimension sometime in the future!

  • The only Alien that was a big soap bubble with an eyeball in the middle.

  • It Came From Outer Space, yep no other then my Mother inlaw.

  • Thank you, Ray Bradbury, for the synopsis behind this flick. The aliens weren't such bad guys, afterall.

  • classic film

  • is there any chance a first rate print will be released in 3D blu-ray or DVD? - some geezers like myself would love to buy the classic 3D films

  • this is exactly the same plot that super 8 even some scenes are the same

  • "Where did it come from?!"

You just answered that question about 10 seconds ago.

  • Love old trailers! Check out they came from space on davenw100. Models and tacky sfx

  • woopie goldburg

  • Since when did they have 3-D movies back in the 50s?

  • @BlueWaffleIsAwesome 3D is from the 50's, they just want to sold it as "new" now....

As tramways: "wow, it's modern!" But 100 years ago, our cities were full of tramways....

Same for a lot of things, 1rst electric car? => 1890-1900s and in 1899 it could already go at 100km/h or 62mph.

    Old world Uh ? xD

  • @Bourinos02 right i really need to brush up on my history :L

  • @BlueWaffleIsAwesome lol youre joking right?

  • @sunwukong86 ELLOS REQUIEM

Well yeah I'm sorry for having a life and not sitting in watching 50s movies for the first 15 years of life. xD

  • 3 people Came From Outer Space.

  • The actress was also in a Paul Newman movie called Hombre.

  • Cryptozoological novel about two boys who find something strange on a beach one night see video book trailer

  • you see, 3D is so old.

  • Richard Carlson is so bland.

  • take mushrooms and watch this movie, you will notice everyone is wearing a hate but the main character!

  • 2nd unit filmed in Joshua tree California.

  • @codrxb

Yes, in 50-60-70 there were movies with 3d representation

Not as realistic as today but yes

Is your name is cod for call of duty?

  • wtf 3d ?????

  • @codrxb Gotta love dem red & blue glasses. :<

  • in the end.... "WHAT" came from outer space...????????

at that time the word "FAKE" wasn't usual, but it should have been...!!!!!!!!

  • "SO REAL THEY ALMOST TOUCH YOU"

What?! No, not the aliens, the 3-D effects!

  • IN THE MIRACLE OF PERFECTED...

    3 DIMENSION

  • Jack Arnold was great.

  • 28 imao look its a fake scream and you know it!

  • No way!!! In 3D??? How can it be possible??. :O

  • @Rumisonqqo 'cuz the 3D dates about 20's

  • This was a favorite of mine when i was a kid... " hell" still is !

  • lol i love the way they express 3d

  • lolz in 39: to 40: he seen his mom lol

  • Wasn't this a huge deformed eyeball...I know it scared the crap out of me as a kid .....

  • Great 1950's alien from space movie. It drew on the fear of invasion from space ,but also the fear of the atom bomb and possible invasion and war with the Russia.

  • A rock hit me and bust my glasses

  • In 1959 my brother took me to see this film. I hassled him for an ice cream so bad, after

I didn't finish it (I just chewed off all the chocolate), he threw it at the screen. Well it stuck

to the screen and started dripping down John Agar's face. It was hilarious. The little girl

in back of us, said to the usher,"here they are they did it". And we got thrown out.

  • iS that the narrator from a christmas story?

  • This is a rather good film, even compared with modern standards. The FX is not embarrassing, the story good and apply to grown up viewers, and the direction professional (dont remember the name of the director, but he was one of the few A-movie sfi-fi directors at this time). And not to forget, it was Ray Bradbury who wrote the script.

  • IT'S IN 3D!!!!!!!!!

  • To me, color adds more vividness than 3D. And 'color' is a Latin word, c o l o r. Not pseud-french c o l o u r.

  • "What do they want?" BAGELZ!

  • Frank Zappa wrote a song about this movie--it's on the "Roxy and Elsewhere" album...the song is called "Cheepness". It's hilarious.

  • I'm not sure if I want your things coming out of the screen to touch me or not yet, but I'm a risk taker.

  • Since 1947 and the supposed "saucer crash" report provided quite kindly by the US military for the public to consume there were many films which fed the publics lust and imagination for so called UFOs and aliens from space, this film was a classic, one of the first 3D films, We have a rocket scientist and stock footage of V2 rockets in this film, which actually parallels the 'truth' (so eager are these ufologists) about what actually happened at Roswell, Google - Operation Paperclip, thanks

  • Older movies are way better than any movie made today!

  • @bwild61 what are you talking about...these kids of movies are so bad. THATS WHY WE LOVE THEM!

  • @247mhm NOT all of them are bad, the creature from the black lagoon was good alot of the movies from the 1920's through the 1990's were good, and to be honost i agree with bwild61 i don't really like any of the new movies except house of 1000 corpses, the devil's rejects, planet of the apes, jurassic park 3, king kong, and star wars episode 3. this is just my opinion not a statement. I do respect your opinion though.

  • @bwild61 ok gramps..

  • @tobypaloma1 hoho..haha..

  • lol in 3D

  • hey only 257 bless yiou fir the ind words. i been getting hate mail from lovers f gore and blood but ill take this film & other vintage horror-sci films of old days anytime.PLAN 9 I love. Catch NIGHT MONSTER MONSTER&THE GIRL,DR RENAULTS SECRET,HOUSE OF DRACULA fir Onslow Stevens as a nad dr what makeup. This horror historian knows what he says. you can write me anytime. DOWN WITH MODERN HORRORS TOMKES

  • clever and smart scifi flick i have seen this three times!

  • wow lots of fun a classic from the 50s great film in its own right. this horror film historian knows. it beats the gore and blood of todays films. Thanks Universal. TMKES

  • agreed tomkes100!

  • Isn't this the one where the alien is a giant cucumber? LOL!

  • 0:37 Aww, isn't that cute. He can't bare the sight of something. Guess they didn't have internet back then. If you have seen what's on the internet, then you have seen everything. Nothing can scare you anymore.

  • Go see AVATAR in 3D. See what 60-years advance on movie technology can do.

  • @Beamshipcaptain Avatar's 3D is less realistic than This one, in this one you can almost touch the rocks falling over your head !

  • @Julm4n56100 I disagree. PLUS, this is not in COLOUR!

  • @Beamshipcaptain .

Fuck! An American who can spell "colour" properly.

I take it back, you DO have an above average IQ (for an American).

Yeah! Greastest country in the world, yee-haaaah! Woop woop!

U-S-A. U-S-A! Americuh is the best!

  • scifi classic seen this on dvd once!

  • At 0:40, it seems that the aliens used a terrestrial reconnaissance vehicle that looks remarkably like an old truck with a cherry-picker on it...

  • no,no...that is some advanced electromagnetic cloking technology to make it look like an old truck, you would definatly not last long in an invasion.

  • I love this old trailer and the film

  • Fuck those aliens and the spaceship

    they came here on!!!!!!

  • WOW! he exploded! 0:41?

  • Buffalo Film Festival 2009

    October 17, 2009

See It Came From Outer Space in ANAGLYPH 3D

at the Ray Bradbury Saturday Matinee.

  • scary stuff.

  • Does anyone know where (or if) I can see the whole movie on-line?

  • all i can find was a trailer kangadillo!

  • That's fine. I actually rented it from Netflix. It was pretty good and even a little scary considering the technical limitations of the day!

  • a scifi classic kangadillo seen the movie twice on dvd!

  • Barbra Rush is... "sweet" !

  • I haven't seen this film for years. Though I remember it was a great movie. Good use of suspense. Interesting too that for much of the film, you don't see the 'creature' - somewhat similar to later films like 'Jaws' or 'Alien' in that it's presence it's there but it doesn't reveal it's self too often.

  • i love the old films they just have more style then new films

  • @SolidSnake1884 daz you issah?

  • Ace classic B movie stuff....awesome,

  • so real it can almost hit you.

  • You can see the bloody string as the meteor hits. Celtic #1

  • I was like, "Ah a big ball on a string is coming right at me!" xD Boom.

  • you should see plan 9 from outer space that movie should be spoofed!

  • I wish this classic was "in 3-Dimension(in 3-D)"!! I saw this in 2D,it was good,3 stars, classic however, it would be alot better in 3D !!!!

  • I remember as a child seeing this movie in 3-D with the polarized glasses, not the red and green ones like they have now. Some of those scenes were absolutely terrifying.

The polarized glasses gave a far more realistic 3-D effect, but it was less comfortable for the eyes.

  • good movie!

  • 3D !!

  • aliens!!!! waaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • True, 'photo'- the initial release (as this trailer demonstrated) was in "3-D", while future "playdates" were "flat"- most likely using revised "standard" trailers omitting the "3-D" tag...I meant to say that some people saw the "original" version when it was first released, while more people eventually saw it "flat".

  • One of the earliest uses of the Theremin I think...

  • The Theremin always creeped me out in every movie I heard it. The Day the Earth Stood Still had the best Theremin music score.Wasnt it also used in The Thing From Another World? Someone needs to used it again in a movie its the best creepy music maker ever.

  • Theremin was also used in the BEACH BOYS hit: "Good Vibrations".

  • ok is there a way i could buy a dvd of this with 3d glasses?

  • Some people saw this in "3-D" in 1953; others saw a "flat" version that eventually found its way to TV- and that's how most people remember it today.

  • The entire first run was in 3-D only. It was only months later when it was in sub-run houses that it played flat (maybe).

  • My god! i need to study more great B-movies!This looks fantastic, so does 'the day the earth stood still' and '2001: A Space Odyssey'

  • Yes, this film is very good. I am tired of the current fad of putting down 1950s flicks because of budgets, special effects and being in black and white. SOme films need to be in black and white. The studios would not give them big budgets, so the filmmakers had to be creative. They were This and the other films you mentioned were not B pictures.

  • i recommend... the earth dies screaming.

  • hey.

    Since when was 2001 a B-movie?

  • think im gonna have to rent this one, looks genius

  • i have seen this movie it was good and the special fx were great, recommend this movie and this island earth, incredible shrinking man and war of the worlds.

  • Wonderful! Great camera work.
