Even back when the A5 was new, blowing away matrix, boblong, angle, the list goes on and on .... you arrive @ the course and all you hear if equipped with a R-Trigger or E-grip is .... "hey you with the tippmann, turn your auto off" !
Over priced pussies get destroyed by "cheap" A5/X7's every day ....
@buypaintballdotca probably and yea i live in ns im going to toronto or somerwhere in ontario next week or two with my friend to go partying we prob gonna go there
this gun is bad ass. I have the phenom and have not been disapointed yet. I've only have had one ball break but i think it was because of cheap paint. shoots alot of paint fast. The ref had told me to take it off auto I asked why everyone else gets to shoot full auto? he said "your gun shoots to fast and is to accurate" so i had to put it on 3 round burst. I was shocked when he said that. One upgrade i would invest in in a longer barrel. Great Marker you will not be dissapointed
I know this is subjective...but....if I already have an original X7 with an egrip...is it worth the purchase of this new marker? By worth I mean, if money was an issue, are the new features worth the upgrade?
@gipatton1970 Yes, the Phenom is a huge upgrade from the original X7. The Phenom features a totally redesigned valve system, which says goodbye to the old, clunky hammer and sear operation, and hello to the smooth, blow forward "spool valve" design.
Advantage: Runs off lower pressure (more shots per tank).
Advantage: Less recoil (better accuracy).
Advantage: Smoother operation (less wear on the internals, faster potential, shots feel more natural).
@Justalittled Well it's really a person preference thing. The Phenom is technically a better marker than the Delta Elite. The Phenom features cutting edge technology, whereas the Delta Elite is simply a mechanical marker with an e-grip. Although the Delta Elite is a fantastic marker, best in it's class, the Phenom is going to give you better accuracy and higher rates of fire. Also the Phenom is more air effecient, but sadly is very heavy for a marker of it's size.
@Justalittled The two guns are VERY close in performance. IMO it is not a large upgrade to move to a Phenom, much less of an upgrade than going to something like a TM15.
I'm new to paintballing so sorry for being such a newb, but I am looking at this Tippmann x7 Phenom do all of them come with the E grip? or do I need to find a special version of the phenom for the E grip? thank you
@HeyItsFritz UPDATE*** Tippmann has recently started selling mechanical versions of the Phenom, so make sure that you get the Egrip version if that's what you're looking for!
Interestingly enough, Tippmann has recenlty changed the speed of this marker to meet ASTM standards. It is now limited to 15 bps. So if you managed to scoop up this marker before the change, you're lucky!
@valclorion This marker is capable of 20 bps. It is limited to 20, mainly so the cyclone can keep up. This is not a limited edition marker, and will be available readily from our store in London Ontario, Flagswipe Paintball, and online at buypaintball . ca. I believe it won't be long untill Tippmann releases a second marker based on the phenom technology. Keep your eyes peeled!
@ForTheGodEmperor The Tech T Cyclone upgrade kit will not allow you to exceed 20 bps safely. You risk alot of paint breaking in your loader, and other general issues.
im stuck between markers should i get a tm15 or a x7 and veiwers or flag swipe paintballl please help me with this sitcbuation send me a pm or comment
Im wondering how the opperating pressure of this gun compares to an A5 and a 98, i know that with my X7 that its operating pressure is very high. I herd that it was lowered. I was only getting about 300-400 shots out of a 20 oz with my X7.. and in big games where your gonna be in for a very long time shooting lots of paint, that is not good!
Although the marker is called the "X7" Phenom, it has been completely redesigned. The operating pressure of this marker is about 300 psi, less than half that of the 98/A5/X7. So you're going to see 3 things happening here.
1. Less breaks.
2. Better accuracy.
3. More efficiency, meaning more shots per tank.
If you're considering this marker, I highly recommend it.
Live marker no face mask bad combo, forgot to put the barrel condom back on.... We can see you flagged the trigger, but, still, you should know better. Sorry for being picky, but, your running a field & a store.
In all honesty, the marker is not very light at all. It is quite manuverable because it's pretty tight, but otherwise, heavier than I would like it to be. None the less, it's very solid, and a straight shooter. If you don't mind a bit of extra weight, you're home free.
This video is shot indoors. What is watching someone run around with the gun going to show you? Here is an up-close shot of the gun in action, and a great demonstration of the accuracy and rate of fire. I don't see what you're missing.
So if it is accuracy is so great on full auto how come i never heard it hit the can once? I give it there is an echo in the inside the field but it must not be that great if you cant hit the can at 20 bps.
the egrip that can switch to non electric was the selling point for me aswell as the one peice bolt. the first x7 was just like the a5. the phenom is a giant step up.
I will say that it's cool that Tippman is moving ahead in marker tec.... But the Smart Parts SP-1 is still a way better marker. This summer I ran over 20 cases thru mine and my son shot about 15 cases and we still have yet to chop a ball!!!
Yes, it's safe to use CO2 with the X7 Phenom. Tippmann endorses the use of CO2 right in the product manual. The only issue you might encounter is that when operating at high rates of fire, the change in pressure in your CO2 tank will drop the temperature very quickly, causing the CO2 to "freeze" in the tank, and you'll lose power in your shots (possibly preventing the marker from shooting at all, ever played with CO2 in the winter?). So yes it's safe, but HPA is still highly recommended!
