5 years old, that's the age that i have when i hear this album for the first time. Thanks to one of my brothers, this is a real masterpiece and...wow, a lot of feelings come back when i hear this again. Thank you for sharing, really :)
There's something haunting and unsettling about this album cover. The piece of sculpture is so primitive and classic. You wonder why they emphasized the features like they did. Why it has such a hollow, unhappy expression. This particular track is powerfully evocative when combined with just staring at this image. Dead Can Dance at it's best - culturally aware, powerful, bizarre. Music like most people have never heard before, and perhaps never again.
when I first listened to this in 1986 or so, I had a vivid dream/hallucination of a cloudy day, the clouds parted, and a mother fucking hand came between, down from heaven, and grabbed me..... I still recall the dream today, thank you for posting. Enjoy all.

dead can dance and cocteau twins timeless innovative music always searching for new stuff by either of these groups. thats why we must support those who stray off the beaten path to produce such great work it sets a new standard and adds to the artform
amazing piece of music
