@universe1992 Borth town is a dump. Drove through it today with the top down on the car and it stunk of sewage and it's full of run down empty boarded up properties. Inyslas and the Dovey estuary further up are great, though.
i lived there for 1 year in 1997 the year diana died a very sad heart breakin year but every time i see borth an the waves it makes me very sad but happy me an my girlfriend at the time had so many happy times there an worked at haven entertainin godbless you all always in my heart borth ,,,,,,,,lee
We holiday here every year without fail. When the weathers fine and warm,or cool and rainy, thers no better place on Earth to be.Who needs abroad when theres a place this? HEAVEN ON EARTH!!!!!!
agreed, i have been coming here since i was 1 year old, im now 20.... i have so many memories of this place and now that people on Sea Rivers (where we stayed) have left, or even died.... it makes me sad sometimes to reflect on the good times..... i spent the summers of my childhood at this wonderful place... :)
We went to Ynyslas today (29/6/09) and we were properly loving the sun!
Me and my bro and sis were talking about Sea Rivers as we all have childhood memories of the place too. Remember the games room?! I spent too much money in there as a kid!
I was also 1 when I first starting going there, but that was in 1978, now I feel old, argh!
I believe Roger who used to own the place sold up some years ago now. At least we have the memories :-)
Yeah Roger and Guy sold up in about 2002 i think. The atmosphere was ALOT better than it is now, theres alot of guidleines and procedures put in place by the new guy...
I remember Guy letting us as kids hitch a lift his truck as he collected the bins in the morning ! :p
LOL do you remember that crappy old play area in the centre? I think they built it in 1996, now it just looks like a demolition site..
Yeah my family always talks about sea rivers, my childhood was well spent there for sure..
@charlieflint Hi , I noticed youve been going to Borth since 1978. I had been going since early 70s but not been in the last 10 yrs. Fantastic memories . Did you ever go to the Harlequin Cafe / restaurant ,if so did you know Mr Evans ( Stan ).?
Mr Evans iss still about but he retired in 2005 and the Harlequin is now an art gallery / shop.
@MrWindies WHAAAAAT !!! Are we talking about the same place ? I've been once, and if I never see the place again it'll be too soon, it's a dangerous place for anyone with ' suicidal tendencies ', it's a road with houses and a few shops either side and that's it, ' Sunnysands Holiday Park ' ??? OMG !! A place to retire to ? Do me a favour, more like ' Gods waiting room, talking of which, if God is a woman she must have created Borth when on a period : (( Depressing beyond belief !
@Cezie2006 I suspect you were asked to post that comment, or you are part of the website gang. A few photographs set to some royalty free music, does not a WOW! Brilliant vido! make.
I've done five Borth and Abersystwyth videos this year, mainly comedy, but showing what's in store to visitors. I bet you die of excitement, watching them!
