How you notice that the cramps have gotten less painful in the last few years. Also do you think being active physically, helps with the pain. I am divorced, but when I was married, on my ex's first day of her period she did not want any physical contact with her at all. Her 2nd day in she would want to spoon only with her tummy resting on my lower back, she said my body temp was so warm and it brought her relief. I miss her heartbeat & that closeness. Your initial pain has to do with the time when your uterine membrane tears and melts into blood. You shed that skin every month just like you shed the inner lining of your stomach every 6 days. Unfortunately, you seem to have a lot of discomfort when this happens, but not all females really have those symptoms as bad as you do. Just have some form of anagesics(pain medication) available to you just a few days before this happens and you should be fine.
Sorry to hear about your menstrual syptoms; however keep in mind that this is part of what being a female is about . We are not lucky, because we have our own problems, as well( not to say more problems). We men tend to have much higher blood pressure than you, which is an underlying cause for stroke. But I must agree with you in some ways; you females tend to get infections quicker than us(due to the length of your urethra), but we men do have our problems too.

Very very true. I noticed when I do a lot of movement it dilutes the pain and moves it around to separate instead of staying in a tight ball. But it only works if I start moving non stop right when the pain begins...if I wait longer it's too late. And yup a positive attitude attracts positive energy too. Harder than it sounds though...

man if you girls really want a break from the periods just get on nuva ring (a type of birth control) and wear the ring for 4wks instead of the recommended 3wks. on that 4th wk your hormone levels drop and you have your per but if you wear the ring for that 4th wk the ring will keep a steady flow of hormones in your body and thus you will not have your per. i did it and skipped my per this mth and i was so HAPPY!!! :)

man if you girls really want a break from the periods just get on nuva ring (a type of birth control) and wear the ring for 4wks instead of the recommended 3wks. on that 4th wk your hormone levels drop and you have your per but if you wear the ring for that 4th wk the ring will keep a steady flow of hormones in your body and thus you will not have your per. i did it and skipped my per this mth and i was so HAPPY!!! :)

sorry saxygirl 18 same here i just cut out meat two week b4 period cuts down on cramps , moodiness and ZITS. My pain is like surgery i have endometriosis.

I used to have cramps like that-were they hurt in the lower back. I had fever and I couldn't even get up. shaking and weak and stuff.

Aaaah! I had these stomach pains for about 2 days, but then it went away and that's when I started my period! It hurts. It was such a shock, I had no idea that that was the period, cause I was only 12. Oh Well, it shows you're growing up :)

Really? I heard sitting down and keeping your legs wide open helps too, cuz if the legs are closed it 'keeps all the pain in'. Or my friend, her trick would be to lie down on the floor on her stomach. We'd be in science class and all of a sudden you see this girl chillin' on the floor LOL.

oh god, i hate periods. guys have it lucky, they dont have to feel the pain, they have no clue. but us girls, its just..ughh. the pain can sometimes hurt, but sometimes just be okay. and the moment it starts to hurt, you feel like your dieing.

Women are marvelous creatures. the measure of pain you go through defines and greater magnifies your gift. yep thats child birth. and im sure it is a mutha. i believe that women are in a sense stronger than men. yeah we have muscles but you guys... oh man you guys... man i love women! where would this world be without women. even through such pain you are elegant, beautiful, caring, selfless, motherly, graceful. yeah well everybody's diffrent I mean some girls have really bad cramps some girls have normal cramps and some girls have those cramps that feel uncomfortable but they can still move around and I did cry too when I first got my period but then you get used to it.
