when you buy a new microphone the thing needs to have a first start and in order to avoid blowing itself out, i know that sounded dirty, it starts of the recording voice low with a lack of treble and then builds it up really quickly to normal. That's why the beginning sounds like that, its just the mic 'warming up' for the first time.

Pure voice ? Maybe this is due to noise cancelling. Maybe the software thought that your Hello was noise and remove it partially. If you were at two feet from your mic, i think it is possible.

Ok, was the scanner ON when you had the mic laying on top of it? If so, it may have been a magnetic field interferring with the microphone, as electronic devices give off some kind of radiation. I'd need more evidence, i.e., history of the house, history of hauntings/encounters, before I can verify this one. Yes, it sounds spooky, but could be a simple mechanical malfunction. Need more proof and analysis.

I believe this is real. It doesn't sound like he altered his voice when he said "Hello, one"; at least he didn't do it intentionally. I think it was modified without him knowing about it.
