I think its coo to wear weaves BUT if someone can NOT go with out it, can not be seen with out it, friends or boyfriend has NEVER seen you without it, or cant even leave the house with out it because you are worried of what someone would say about you then that is when it becomes a issue of weaves and being insecure and people are going to talk about you, that’s just real! @brightballoon if your thinking of a lace front. Just do it and try it out see if its for you. I just got into lace fronts and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. My closet friend has tried it and she loves it and shes white. So go ahead, if thats what you really want to do, trust me you will ge so many good comments.
@junekay Hey, thanks for the response. I did try really well-reviewed lace-fronts from hairsisters that were about $40 each (and were synthetic) and was unsuccessful in getting a good look with them. I have a lot of baby hair at my hairline and a forehead that's on the smaller side. Aside from that, just could not make it look/feel reasonable either. Disappointed, but I'm just doing weaves that cover more of my own hair and enjoy it.. What lace fronts does your friend use?

Im latina and have short thick hair myself and its hard enough to try to style it straight, takes me about hr1:30... So yeah I use half wigs too, plus now that it got so damaged that it broke off, I started to use half wigs and ponytails. I think this girls is jelous of you. I had that happen to me yesterday at work. My co worker told someone that I had a wig on. I had a ton of compliments about it. One of the co workers in the lunch room stated " is that your real hair". He yelled so and so told me it was not real. I got so pissed and I conforted her she said I never said that to him. I think its coo to wear weaves BUT if someone can NOT go with out it, can not be seen with out it, friends or boyfriend has NEVER seen you without it, or cant even leave the house with out it because you are worried of what someone would say about you then that is when it becomes a issue of weaves and being insecure and people are going to talk about you, that’s just real! @brightballoon if your thinking of a lace front. Just do it and try it out see if its for you. I just got into lace fronts and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. My closet friend has tried it and she loves it and shes white. So go ahead, if thats what you really want to do, trust me you will ge so many good comments.

@junekay Hey, thanks for the response. I did try really well-reviewed lace-fronts from hairsisters that were about $40 each (and were synthetic) and was unsuccessful in getting a good look with them. I have a lot of baby hair at my hairline and a forehead that's on the smaller side. Aside from that, just could not make it look/feel reasonable either. Disappointed, but I'm just doing weaves that cover more of my own hair and enjoy it.. What lace fronts does your friend use?

And girl I get so tired of explaining what's going on with my hair. People want to have their hand all up in your hair. She's jealous of you, it's not about the hair, it's because you're pretty and you can rock different looks! Your friend wishes she could be like you but she doesn't have the courage to live out loud and do her own thing. I actually keep my head shaved and I love wearing it like that, but I've always loved trying different colors with my hair, especially different shades of blond -which I've always been complimented for - so I think it's too bad when some folks feel that AA women dying their hair blond is us trying to be "white". Why does it have to be about race, I question - so I completely understand what you were saying. Sometimes there's no other reason except it's fun to try different looks! Do you!

Im latina and have short thick hair myself and its hard enough to try to style it straight, takes me about hr1:30... So yeah I use half wigs too, plus now that it got so damaged that it broke off, I started to use half wigs and ponytails. I think this girls is jelous of you. Why aren't men catty about other men wearing toupee's the way the world is about women wearing wigs, weaves, etc,? THere are exceptions, but by and large men aren't made to feel inferior (to their face) the way women are about hair. Hair is the woman's domain and haters remind us of this every day. O wow, your friend is really mean. She was doing that crap on purpose. I had a guy ask me why I was so embarrassed to wear my real hair out and why I wanted to be white so bad. I explained that I was not embarrassed at all at that wearing weaves or wigs may give you some variety in styling and more options.
Some people are so quick to jump to conclusions or some females may want to try weaves or wigs but don't want to say it because its so "fake" to them.

I had that happen to me yesterday at work. My co worker told someone that I had a wig on. I had a ton of compliments about it. One of the co workers in the lunch room stated " is that your real hair". He yelled so and so told me it was not real. I got so pissed and I conforted her she said I never said that to him.
