  • Do you honestly have to floor it every time you take off? Your just wasting gas and putting hard miles on the engine.

  • i actually have the almost twin to this car but mine is the digital readout and alloy rims not sure what engine that one has but mine has the 3.8l v6

  • this thing is like drivving a boat.

  • My Grandma had a New Yorker and it was the bomb....The Owner of the chrysler corp. would say your door is ajar and i was like "this car is MAGIC!" now i want one sooo badly.

  • You can't always get what you want... then you end up driving this.

  • The ca is huge

  • i had a 90 lebaron the same type of car like this new yorker.. with the mitsubishi 3.0 with a few mods... i used to get the old pig up to 120 on the freeway ..i loved that car

  • My grandma had that car . . . only hers was a teal blue and had velour seats LOL!

  • she has nice legs

  • Jesus, what a HORRIBLE square, ugly and cheesy piece of shit!!!!! The americans have COMPLETELY lost the abillity to making appealing cars!!!

  • @discocreator76 you must've missed the '90s... they found it again.

  • @discocreator76 and the british make cars so small and ugly it just wants to make me throw up just as living with some of them for a day so boring

  • @discocreator76 you realize almost all cars regardless of country were square like this in 1993 right?

  • the transmission on the 1988-1993 Chrysler New Yorker

    Transmission

    3-speed A670 automatic

    4-speed A604 automatic

  • My mother had a 98 Chrysler Sebring that had the same worn out ignition. Maybe it's a Chrysler thing? Her car had only 75K miles on it at the time. We found out when she took a fast left turn and the keys flew at my face!

  • @logume1881 it cant just be a chrysler thing because my 1989 oldsmobile 88 has the same problem... idk

  • @logume1881 it was DEFINITELY a chrysler thing, 97 Sebring, 98 Breeze, an 01 Town an Country, all had the same problem

  • By the way it's not a feature. The ignition is broken

  • My Dad's old Plymouth Sundance used to do that with the ignition. He had it replaced, though. He got annoyed at it doing that. I thought it was funny.

  • our 93's a tank.

had that fucker going 130 down a hill.

    Fun little car.

  • why dont people leave the music on? loud

  • The early 90s werent 'back in the day', but otherwise good video

  • @DemitriRas To him, 1993 was "back in the day" for him because he was just a toddler when the car was made. I was 7 when this car was made.

  • @DemitriRas what is "back in the day"

  • The Lock and Tumble need to be replaced its cheap Plastic

  • 3:20 its 4 20

  • You can make you keys come out the igniton with a little work or yeah its been stolen

  • Dude, ditch the sandals...

  • @DvvdJD The sandals are cool looking!

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper yeah he has a sister

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper his gf or sister

  • @vDroiiDz It is his sister.

  • @YoungOldSchoolRapper Agreed my friend. Agreed.

  • THATS NO FEATURE THAT MEANS IT WAS JACKED AT ONE POINT OR ANOTHER.......

  • @PQPLAYER92 - Haha I was thinkin the same thing.

  • Thumbs up if you noticed the video ends at 4:20 on the dash clock!!!

  • I like how when he fiddles with the radio at the yield sign and someone honks at him...then he takes off.

  • The girl has nice legs lol

  • I used have a 93 New Yorker, great car!! I replaced those gawd-awful Chrysler radios, with a Pioneer headunit, and Pioneer speakers, those front speakers could make the side mirrors rattle alot, lol, but the car was really good, nice seats, 3.3 engine and ALB brakes.

  • Like driving a boat? That is a small car compared to my '67 Lincoln Continental! LOL!!

  • its 4:18, everyone thought you were probably rushing to catch 4:20

  • That car is NO boat...

  • @stlchevy95

    Lol I agree

  • How did u know he smokes amity?

  • Beautiful sweet, good sound of exaust sistem, how many ltrs sucks.

  • 0:55 :-)

  • I was driving a friends 94 saturn we were on a trip down south, and the key popped right out of the ignition going like 85mph scared the shit out of me. shes like it does it all the time! and im like OMG! lol

  • I'm not sure which is more dated - the Chrsyler or those jean shorts.

  • @MediaWatchDawg The Jorts

  • @MediaWatchDawg I belive the jeans are more out dated

  • Its like my 1993 plymouth sundance on steroids!

  • you guy'sare rong the key tumbler is bad

  • If you didn't smoke so many cigarettes you wouldn't have to chew gum on test drives!

  • who was with u?

  • @TheFordguy98 that was his sister I believe

  • @TheFordguy98 His ex-girlfriend.

  • umm lots of cars let you pull they key out?? On old 1 key models they did that so you could start the car so it warms up, get out and still lock it without the need for more keys. It was especially common in fords.

  • don't give her the cam next time

  • that one looks identical to my old 91 Chrysler New Yorker Fifth Avenue

  • lol he threw her the keys like a true pimp...."hold that"

  • @mslmn92 he looks more like a customer to me

  • You two guys look like a regular hick couple in that car!

And whats playing on the radio makes it even more true! haha

  • the trannys in those and dynastys isnt made to handle roughness, i went thru 2 of em and learned the hard way.

  • 1:26

perfect summary of this POS car...

  • Just like 98% of all Chryslers in the 90's, this is an overgrown K car. Now, I happen to have liked my K cars back in the day (great $100 winter bets in NY) and they had pretty tough drivetrains. Everything else fell apart. LOL. Same interior as the Dynasty!

Aries, Reliant, Spirit, Sundance, Shadow, Voyager, Caravan, Daytona, Laser (not the Plymouth), 600, 400, Lebaron, Acclaim, New Yorker.... you get the idea

  • That car is all kinds of wrong.

Everything on it is butt ugly and about 3 times bigger than it should be. Interior and exterior design is worse than 1970s Euro cars.

Back in the '90s, in Europe was all about modern design, slickness, efficiency and practicality and comfort was not neglected either. That thing is a piece of shit. I can't imagine how the New Yorkers are fun.

I said it before and I'll say it again: AMERICANS CAN'T BUILD CARS.

I'd take the girl on the passenger seat though.

  • @GM572 neither could the British (British leyland) :)

  • What dealer is this? ... so I know to avoid it.

Flooring it when the engine is cold, driving like an ass with no turn signals, beating on the cars. Oh, yeah, I want to buy a car from you.

  • @wootness3000

Exactly right! After seeing the way the young dude wants to put his foot thru the floorboard "every" chance he gets----i sure would`nt buy a car there.

I know your young and full of testosterone,saabkyle04,---but you need to chill the test drives a bit dude-----especially on the side streets where a child could pop out of nowhere.

Hopefully the local police don`t see your test drive vids anytime soon---ha ha!

  • did you buy it?

  • Yea, the New Yorkers are fun. 3.3 V6, enough space for you and your 5 buddies(if ya don't fold out the center arm rest in the back), and more space than you could ask for in the trunk. I love mine. Also, mine does the "Key Thing" in which my buddies have dubbed the "Invisa-key".

  • y dont u have a older talking one

  • Only the FWD New Yorker brand 83-87 talked, the NY 5TH Ave was RWD 83-89, & didn't have the Audible Warning System (talking computer) installed. I had an 85, white w/red int. and I loved it. Others like LeBaron, & GTS, Dodge Lancer ES & 600 ES had limited English warnings & Thank You after. Coupes like Laser XE/XT , Daytona Z had more warnings & pinged format after. If it had Turbo, it spoke. The Spanish & French units made it till 89. I loved mine. Each had a off switch n Glove Box roof hole.

  • It was JUNK "Back in the day" !!

Try replacing the AIR RIDE on one of these junk-piles, $3500.00 !!!

  • i find it funny how you drive faster with that girl in the car.....And we seen your face

  • Actually very clean for a car that age..........make a nice starter hooptie

  • Those tires look terrible on it. It needs thin white walls.

  • beautiful neighborhood. what state do u live in?

  • Do you really even need the car keys to start it?

  • It's not a feature, the tumblers in the key cylinder are worn out.

  • Comment removed

  • wooooooow nice legs I think the same jajjajajaj

  • must be nice driving the fuck out of peoples cars before you wash them

  • Thats an ideal girlfriend, not a single word during the ride

  • @odrwon That's his sister. Not is girlfriend.

  • Our old Plymouth Acclaim did the key thing, too. It was nice to run into the house and get something without turning off the heat in the winter.

  • Such a great interior. I miss those instrument panels that were exclusive to the driver, and not spread out all over the dash like today's cars. Nice car!

  • @Simon5005 Yep! That was a great interior in those cars! I rermember them well! 93 was the last year for these cars sadly.

  • He drives like I do ... full throttle till it's time to slow down.

  • @ghrpdx Me to!

  • nice legs girl ;) what's your number?!?!? hahahah :)

  • theres ordinary grass seed then theres smart seed

  • yd u wanna pull the key out drivin makes no sense

  • @Matthew55904 To be unique I think.

  • "This is luxury back in the day." For all intents and purposes, "back in the day" is still now. The car is not that old. Also, that car is microscopic compared to the REAL chryslers of the 70's and before!

  • @Longstreet77 ... consider the car was probably built when he was still in diapers. To him, '93 is back in the day. (=

  • i got a 91' and i love it just barley hit 100k the other day in it everbody that ridesin it loves it

  • These things are so ugly, not to mention that its a chrysler, so it wont last.

  • i might buy this car off my friend for two hundred bucks just as nice as this in same condition. Its for winter how are they in winter

  • did that car have the V6?

  • Lol if you think that drove like a boat you should have tried driving a 1970's large American car. The only thing that kept you awake on the highway was the gentle up and down motions as the suspension glided over the tarmac.

  • wow! i was like nice legs, and then i realize it was just a little girl. shame on me!

  • My LeBaron convertible had that Key thing too. Don't know, if that's normal, or if it's weird. Okay, it's weird.

  • I got one, same year... They don't meke em like that anymore.

  • @Cytacon Yep. Definitely! It's a shame.

  • A Bus? Yeah right. I drove a 1970 Datsun and 1985 Ranger. Now THAT is a bus.

  • والله فخمه مشاءالله

  • Did that survive Obama's cluncker program?:)

  • that a ceo manager car to play ceo manager or to be one

  • 2 things.

One... I see a pair of fine ass legs.

Two... my Olds 93 Cutlass Ciera does that key thing too, it's nice when I want to lock up my glovebox while still driving. :D

  • hahahaa your like "hold that"

  • never seen a FWD ar with white letter ties lol, i don't eally care for cars, hell i don't really car for chrysler, i like, ford, and i like big, got m a expedition. I'm suprised that thing has a keyless entry!

  • this thing like driving a boat lol

  • Driving a boat? That's a fairly mid-sized car..lol. You ever drive a Town Car? Or maybe an old Continental? THOSE are BIG cars.

  • Chrysler New Yorkers are one of the best American cars ever and the most luxurious car of its time.

  • @4345g Yeah back in the 60's & 70's. This was wannabe luxury.

  • Luxury back in the day. LMAO yeah right! It's a glorified Dynasty. What a dork.

  • Definitely too loud 4 a luxury car. These were supposed 2b at Buick Oldsmobile Mercury levels not Cadillac and Lincoln. Still pretty downmarket cuz thats still the K car platform. Then the LH cars what a change! Still though u had that shitty Chrysler quality. I gotta stop Im gettin carried away lol!

  • the keys can come out of a 93 accord

  • The last years with the nice interiors before cheap grey and black plastic took over. I remember hating these cars because they were so tiny but compared to todays cars they look gorgeous...very nice riding cars too altho small engines and front wheel drive.

  • the rolling stones a chrysler newyorker loaded and a beautiful girl how could a day get better

  • Back when the American makes hadent ruined themselves trying to be more European!

  • fuck the car show that sweet young thing in the passenger side

  • @jiggahippo

You dirty old man...Any "girl" that wears Crocs shoes is like 14 years old. Child-molester!!!! Get those dirty thoughts out of your head.

  • @ajeon first off they make crocs in all sizes as I have a pair myself. Secondly go fuck urself, enuf said!

  • @PNSB101 He hit the horn then acted it off and floored it.

  • nice girl, is very sexy

  • what engine that thing got in it?

  • Haha my sister used to have a 1997 Mercury Sable that had the funky ignition thing

  • My Grandparents also had one but theirs was green with tan cloth seats. Last of the Boats!

  • My Grandparents also had one but theirs was green with tan cloth seats.

  • nice legs!

  • yeah i went and tried the key on my aunts 92 and it didn't come out

  • Comment removed

  • You missed 4:20!

  • How many miles were on that car?

  • unless the temperature gauge in that car is broken, i'd advise not being so heavy on the gas when the engine's cold. that goes for like every car ever.

  • 0:54-0:56 Nice legs!!!!

  • @Lancer265

    yeah ...

  • @Lancer265 youve got to be right :D

  • What a piece of scrap!!!

  • i have a 89 new yorker 5th avenue. bout 200,000 miles on it. ballin chrome rims car is amazing

  • ops a nice really nice car in 93, hehehe

  • we had a 79 oldsmobile that had the key problem, they fell out when driving.lol

  • the key thing, yea thats not a feature. its a worn lock cylinder, extremely worn out key, or a worn ignition switch. its not suppose to do that and my grandpa's '93 new yorker fifth avenue. which by the way has the most comfortable seats of any 17 year old car i've sat in.

  • Oh I gotcha, yeah I thought about that for a while and was like "wait a second" lol. I did think it was cool though, you don't have to worry about keys flopping around hahaha X)

  • @saabkyle04 I had a Chevrolet pickup that did that. If you didn't turn the ignition clear back to the "lock" notch, you could actually start it without the key. It was actually very handy, yet you could turn it to the lock setting, and you had to have a key.

  • @saabkyle04 hahaha my mom old pontiac used to do that except we didnt even need the key its a shame it broke down and she old it i always joked around sayin it was a car theifs dream car haha

  • @sideburns2009. Thanks for the clarifying that. That is what I thought as well. My family has always had Chrysler vehicles and none of them did that.

  • @sideburns2009 No, its pretty much a feateure on Chryslers, they all have crappy ignition switches

  • @orbitofdoom16 you are pretty much wrong. out of all the chrysler's in my family, i've yet to see one have an ignition switch go bad. this car was a '93, that key was probably worn as hell.

  • @sideburns2009 Yeah, it sucks he has the leather interior instead of that plushy cloth one that was standard. My dad had a White '92 version of one of these beauties.

  • @SCSNSE plushy cloth? you must have never sat in the seats of a new yorker with leather. most comfortable seats i've ever been in. cushy and soft leather, i could sleep in them.

  • @sideburns2009 my crownvic p71 did this.. BUT was designed to, it was a cop car after all. only 1 key runs the whole thing. so run car, pull key out while car is running, can get into trunk or whatnot

  • Why don't you take your sister with you anymore?

  • I am wondering, does your fifth avenue have the voice in it? The guy who sold me mine said he disconected it, but im wondering if there is one at all. Also, those fifth avenue are just plain awesome...you wont get this kind of luxury anymore...shame.

  • Bacfire83, The Fifth Avenue never talked. That was the 80s New Yorkers that did that. My Grandparents had an 85 Fifth Avenue. The greatest car they ever had. We got rid of it in 91. I never let them forget it. The cars that they after that never came close to what Fifth Avenue was! I think about the car often. Yes, THIS IS the kind of luxury that is not made anymore and it is a shame. Definitely!

  • Yeah its a shame that the 90's New Yorker Fifth Avenue dont talk anymore....i loved when my parents had this old one that would talk...but well, the motor was so little that it was barely moving the car...not a problem with the 3.3 v6 on the 91' Fifth Avenue :)

  • my grandpa's '93 new yorker fifth avenue has the 3.8...same as our town & country.

  • @jesse8507 Im still trying to find a 5th Avenue! Loved the silver gauges! Not bad for a car that started as a Volare/Aspen. They were nice cars!

  • The pull-the-key-out-of-the-ignition feature is so you can open your garage door without stopping the car, then restarting the car after the door is open.

That is, if you don't have a remote door opener, and have your garage door key on on the same ring as your car key.

My 85 Oldsmobile 88 had the same feature.

  • and OR the ignition switch is worn.

  • That's not a feature lol. It's a worn ignition switch.

  • go ahead and keep telling yourself that. lol

  • Decent, Decent

  • I took a look at the options one could get and I liked what I saw.

  • Cool vid man, but U think thats like driving a boat, drive a 1977 Lincoln Town Car. Now that's a battleship

  • I bought a '93 Fifth Ave as soon as I got out of the military- it had been sitting on the lot, new for over a year. I got it for a great price and maintained it well, oil changes/filters, etc... it lasted until 2007 when it saved my LIFE in a car accident- an idiot hit me sideways while I was going thru a green light. That car will always remain in my fond memories!!!

  • These things are such "grandmother cars". But I like them.

  • mooghammondb3, I am so obsessed with Fifth Avenue's. My grandparents had a 1985 Fifth Ave. t was sliver with gray interior and the pillow top seats!!! Sadly, they got rid of it in 1991. I never let them forget it!

  • I fucking love that car so much. Does it come with a sunroof and power antenna?

  • i think it doesn't

  • cool car check mine out

  • That thing is a boat! lol, not as much as my grandfather's 93 Deville, that baby had a 4.9 liter V8 and it would really move! These 3.3s aren't too shabby either, they move a heavy FWD car pretty well.
