I don't catch much Cod around my area; howver, I might try this with some dolphin. If it works out I think it will be a good way to make use of what would otherwise go to waste (or the neighbor).
my mom always buys dried fish @ some asiasn store. but man idk what kind of fish it is but when she pn fries tht dried fish it makes the whoele house smell like strong iron and other weird shit tht doesnt smell fishy! *puke*
@eole117 .....Pickled conch ,or what we call around here, pickled wrinkles....I have a video of it if you scroll back through my vids on my channel page...Capt. John's Pickled Conch... Thanks for watching !
@shallnotbeinfringed ....Quite a while in the frig....But that is never an issue because within a day of being dry they are gone.....My kids suck them up like candy
I was going to ask you if were going to do a dried fish video. Coming that way for my moose hunt would like to stop in and have you try some of my home brew.
you don't put that in a box or something to keep the bugs off of it? and i didn't catch what you said was in the jar. i am almost sure it's something i'd turn my nose up at but i am curious enough to ask any way.
@daddytech ....Inside a screen porch works... Those were wrinkles or conchs in the jar, check my vid Capt. John's Pickled Conch....Maine bar favorite !!! and it shows all about them.
i LOVE MY DRIED FISH EVERYTIME I GO BACK HOME OR ONE OF MY PARENTS COME HERE I GET SOME.mY OLD UNCLE USED TO DO IT THAT WAY.woops sry for the capslock
You do it much different than the way I learned to split and salt fish but in the end the same result. Watching you eat it made me hungry. I think I would take the bottle of wrinkles over the fish though.
Great video, my Icelandic grandpa used make what we called hardfish up here in Gimli, looks pretty much the same and tasted fantastic.
