I'm confused.....This is the original Powder? Then how did the other newer band out of L.A. get the rights to the same name. And they have the same mode as the original band from UK. What's up with this?

Ahahaa nice one.. I was confused too back at Download festival in the UK, in 2004 i think it was.. i heard Powder were about to play "in that tent there" and i was like "what? Powder have reformed?".. only to gaze in confused manner at this yankee girl with fkn rubber gloves glued to her titties and a guitarist with enormous spiky hair. I still enjoyed it though "lol"

@Tweekerhead - it's interesting, isn't it? If the LA Powder only began in or after 1997, then possibly they bought the rights to the name because the London Powder dissolved (LOL) around that time.

lol - i have a minty vhs verison of this show too. I think this was recorded as a special in the late nineties but was repeated in 2005.

It was showcasing britpop band except oasis and blur didn't appear. They were probably too far up their own arses.

Yes this is Pearl Lowe, she is Daisy lowe's mother who is an 18 year ols successful model and was going out with Mark Ronson. Pearl is married to Super grass drummer Danny Goffey. I read her book all that glitters, which is all about her taking loads of drugs and messing her life up then getting clean.
