Oh to add some stuff. I was married in July over there. What a culture shock! lol. Although I look Asian, but growing up here I am used to American weddings. It was really hard preparing and trying to understand "wtf do I need to do this?" but all in all it was fun. Have a great life and once your kid grows up a bit, hope you can game a bit again, have brand new fans etc.

I was born there and lived until 6th grade and it can be great, but it def is a competitive country for a growing up kid. However, if you don't mind having a "mediocre" life, it provides alot of opportunities for many. It's just really hard to be super rich or have certain enjoyments you have in the states due to costs etc. Grass is always greener/browner? on the other side. I believe wherever you live, be happy! :) Although I was born there would be very hard for me to adjust there again pers.

Oh and I do agree with teaching him English since he'll be constantly exposed to the Japanese language and culture everyday so there'll be no concern over if he learns Japanese properly.

I'm speaking from personal experience where my family chose not to speak their native tongue out of fear of not learning the English language in the states. Bad decision as i lost almost all of my ethnic language while my other peers retained their Vietnamese through their parents strictly speaking Viet.

I heard she moved to Japan and got mixed up with a Yakuza guy who knocked her up and now she's stuck there in a shotgun marriage. She is very secretive about her husband and he isn't in any of her videos or pictures.She used to be lively and happy, now she's all depressed, pale and mellow. It's strange that she's been in Japan so long, and barely knows the language? The possibility of a westerner being stuck there in a shotgun wedding is very real and the government would turn a blind eye to it.

I may not know anything about your particular situation, but when it comes to people saying "there's no life in your eyes", I can understand what they mean. From what I, my family/friends, etc. have gone through, I know that change is difficult.
