@lorand133 Nope. Its product of the original and epic Italian poem " Dante's Inferno" from the book "Diviny Comedy" around the years of 1300. They made the game based on the old poem, not that game.

Its just i think, in my opinion, they've based the idea in the poem. And ,at this point, every crazy imaginative creature has already been created in video-games. It's hard to come out with one which can hit the point of being original and scary xD.
This is the best game ever made I waited a lot until it was finally released I also have God of War 3 but I like this one much more. Fuck the people that compare this to God of War XD

There are only a few texts in the whole world of literature which include our whole culture and a differentiated view on nearly every topic a human can think of written down in what mankind can call perfection of language. This is what it is. For me la divina commedia is together with Faust and Ulysses the most important text in human history and I love that they made a game out of it, because I think that a lot of gamers may become interested because a lot of them are quite intellectual.

GOW3 was a really great game...i played all bsides that cell phone game and it is just excellent, from begining to end, i want to give this game a shot tho looks pretty nuts with all that hellish shit attacking u...plus i love action adventure games and just cuz gow set the bar doesnt mean i wont enjoy this, definately a game id have fun with

Yea, the game actually surprised me. It is, in my opinion, a really good game. The concept of going through the 9 circles of hell is as well as the story that ties in with that, just really was intresting. The gameplay, plays pretty much exactly like God of War but with its own original features. But I wouldn't say it copies it. It just uses the mechanics of God of War and it works with Dante's Inferno. It would be like saying Battle field is copying MW2 because its in modern day just doesnt wrk
That is the exact analogy I've used in describing the games here. If you want to take it a step future. GOW copied Devil May Cry. Also, Dante's Inferno is a based on a real person and his story from some 700 years ago. Where GOW is a total made up fictional video game. I've also state that ALL FPS war games are coping each other. From MAG, COD, BFBC, etc, etc.

@DistantJ, many times player's just have a had time just enjoying the badass games put out. I've beat GOW3 twice now. I really did not feel like I was playing DI at all for the most part. Just far two different environments, story and theme. In the end, it's us the player's of win because both DI and GOW are excellent games! Only DI is coming with far better DLC coming with online play. Which means it's replay value put it way ahead of GOW3.

@Mshetty313 it is based on the Epic poem "The Divine Comedy", which is a tale of Dante, and the first part is titled "Inferno" which is what the game is based off. i hope that EA makes the rest of the poem into games.
it inposible his other poems which is a series of three books (inferno, pulgatorio ,pardiso) talk about good things.unlike inferno which talks about hell and the sinners that r in there. pulgatorio talks about the people who have sinned but have asked god for his merci after a certian periodo of time that they are heled in "pulgatorio" they can go in to heven.i dont think i need to explain paradiso because it means heven.soo...i dont think EA will be making anymore Dante video games.

This game is splendid I play it all the time at christmas with my cousins they are really good at it. I actually downloaded it utterly free for my sony ps3 from here: 115 games . com they have literally hundreds and the best part is they are all totally free oh i almost forgot 0:25 2 2:55 was magnificent

Expensive console? Ummm...the console is what, $300 tops? To play this kind of game with all the bells and whistles you need a machine of about $1200 + a good monitor. I think you can get a hell of a HDTV + console for less.
Why would I play a console game on PC...when I can play it on the big screen?
Omg, are you kidding me!?.. 1200!.. where do you live?.. My system was a mere $450 dollars and it has a quad core CPU (that's four cores measuring at almost 11GHz fyi), 9900GT graphics card, 4GB RAM and 1Terabyte Harddrive. With this I can play the latest graphic intense games at their highest with no problems. Most of all NO LAG!.
Also I have a 40" HD capable monitor which I can use to watch the latest films in all their glory.
You know what else?.. I can do a hell of a lot more with this system other than having fun playing games, which is the only thing you can do with consoles.

This was the actual seventh circle: Violence. And, like in the Divine Comedy, it was split into three sections, for the same reasons.
They mey be interpreting it in a more brutal fashion, but it's going off the text.

you know they rated it low, check this game in any website like gamespot, ign, etc. you will see it did not recieve a rating over 8.
i disagree with the ratings its actually pretty good game.

It also depends on what you like. If you're into a hack-and-slash game to vent out, then games like GOW or DI are good games.

i played the demo it was like a gothic version of god of war. couldnt stop laughing my ass off when the demo ended just as soon as it was about to get even better it said : GO TO HELL!!! shouldnt be that funny , dunno why i laughed so hard lol

@Mshetty313 it is based on the Epic poem "The Divine Comedy", which is a tale of Dante, and the first part is titled "Inferno" which is what the game is based off. i hope that EA makes the rest of the poem into games.

it inposible his other poems which is a series of three books (inferno, pulgatorio ,pardiso) talk about good things.unlike inferno which talks about hell and the sinners that r in there. pulgatorio talks about the people who have sinned but have asked god for his merci after a certian periodo of time that they are heled in "pulgatorio" they can go in to heven.i dont think i need to explain paradiso because it means heven.soo...i dont think EA will be making anymore Dante video games.

This game is splendid I play it all the time at christmas with my cousins they are really good at it. I actually downloaded it utterly free for my sony ps3 from here: 115 games . com they have literally hundreds and the best part is they are all totally free oh i almost forgot 0:25 2 2:55 was magnificent

Expensive console? Ummm...the console is what, $300 tops? To play this kind of game with all the bells and whistles you need a machine of about $1200 + a good monitor. I think you can get a hell of a HDTV + console for less.
Why would I play a console game on PC...when I can play it on the big screen?

Omg, are you kidding me!?.. 1200!.. where do you live?.. My system was a mere $450 dollars and it has a quad core CPU (that's four cores measuring at almost 11GHz fyi), 9900GT graphics card, 4GB RAM and 1Terabyte Harddrive. With this I can play the latest graphic intense games at their highest with no problems. Most of all NO LAG!.
Also I have a 40" HD capable monitor which I can use to watch the latest films in all their glory.

You know what else?.. I can do a hell of a lot more with this system other than having fun playing games, which is the only thing you can do with consoles.
