The problem is that hitting that close to chrome rim has to tear up your fingers. I prefer the real skin because wooden rims are far more comfortable. Having the raised head gives the player a wider range of sounds. With the synthetic head it always sound like you're slapping it. You can't use these for bachata or bolero.

Yo recomiendo los Nuskyn, no sé si en el 2009 ya existían los Nuskyn pero definitivamente suenan mejor. Lo digo por que tuve los dos parches.
