My family's best friends work on board the ship. It was also the last place my Mom was before she died suddenly on the ship's second voyage. It's a lovely ship on the inside, totally different from what you think she'd be like based on the outside. Fantastic ship, and if you get a chill on board...well, my Mom is there... ;)
I just don't see what is so "special" about the Vicky. She's a Vista. done for every brand Carnival owns. Her interiors are in large part borrowed and repetitve of Carnival brands. Her tandem crossing proved horrible, she is a cruise ship not an ocean liner. Anyone catch the fake plastic decks? Another uninspired, boring, tired additionto the Carnival fleet.
I honestly have to agree, I've been on all QE2, QM2 and QV, Best experiance was DEFFINATELY on the QE2 - Then for luxary cam the GM2, the QV is the worst ship out of all 17 i've been on. And her horn sounds horrible.
I agree, I have been on all three Cunarders, and the Queen Victoria was the WORST, from both Luxary, entertainment, and pleasure. I would rather be on the Titanic.
Absolutely marvelous, Aaron, as always. I had a chance to visit her on th Sunday before her launch the day after, and she is indeed gorgeous. I have yet to see the interiors in person, so I'm hoping to book passage on her with my partner this year. Many thanks for this lovely tribute and a fitting musical accompaniment.
