Actually, he was quite fair in the book. E.g. he was highly critical of the CIA under Clinton for their reluctance to send operatives to Afghanistan. Additionally, he did NOT blame Bush Sr for the 1993 WTC bombing, which occurred only 3 weeks after he left office. The reason he blames Bush more is because Bush did not treat terrorism as urgent, and then he invaded a nation that was not a threat to us (Iraq).

If you listen to something like Sean Hannity's radio show and The O'Rielly Factor or most talk radio you really do hear the same phrases and references. "Hate america", "want america to lose the war", "cut and run", "don't support the troops", "support the president", "listen to the generals on the ground".

It gets a bit eerie when you listen for it.
