  • Ha, Matthew Sweet does 'Ian Hunter's rap

  • I hate to say it, but the recording quality really sucks, and apparently they didn't learn anything from their first covers album, because this song has the same problems. I'm not a sound engineer, but I think it's overly compressed or something. As with most of the songs on the first album, its well performed, but unlistenable. It's got zero dynamics. Maybe it sounds OK on an ipod.

  • Ian Hunter FTW.

  • I love this version. Sweet's got nice pipes. I love this CD. Their covers of Sugar Magnolia, Bell Bottom Blues, and Go All the Way are terrific as well.

  • Hey thanks for posting. Would you be able to post 'Sugar Magnolias' from the same CD? that would be awesome.

  • I am obsessed with Susanna and Matthew amazing

  • Absolutely perfect rendition! Awesome!

  • Objectively Bruce Dickinson has better chops for this cover. This song should inspire you to rock out. These two are a bit too mellow on this version.

  • Nice Job!

  • Not one of my favorite Bowie songs, but this is a good Bowie-sounding re-arrangement. And of course I am in love with Susanna Hoffs since the first time I saw her in a Bangles' video.

  • This is a Mott the Hoople song.....not Bowie.

  • Oops....my bad! Bowie did write it - just originally recorded bt Mott.

  • Strong.

  • I love Mott, and this is a beautiful cover! Matthew Sweet is so underrated!!!

  • wow you can really tell that this was written by bowie with this version :o I never realised until now

  • So true--Matthew gives it a *serious* Bowie feel--it's so obvious now, isn't it? Love it.

  • Excellent

  • Nice!!!!

  • there are better songs by Mott to cover

  • not really.

  • Ha, well not everyone cab be a Mott fan I guess

  • Ok, tell me what do you know about Mott, because I can think of a few songs in their catalog that are just as good if not better and obscure enough to where it would not just be a routine cover of a classic rock staple. This is note for note boring

  • Mott the Hoople sounds better i hate remakes of songs

  • poweful intro

  • super...

  • WOW!...thank you for posting sir!

  • First!!

    Can't wait for this one.

Keep your eyes open for my video message to Matthew
