As far as I remember these are all presets ! Other music I make involves original synthesis, but this was done when my Blofeld was just out of the box..
I wrote a song a while ago just after the events of 9/11 about 9/11.
I was asked to play it on stage at a world peace concert and thought I'd make a youtube vid for it. now. I'm trying to find some suitable 9/11 footage for it but haven't found anything yet. Any ideas?
Goldbaby has a new sample set out called "When Alien Drum Robots Attack", Im just writing sick electro drum lines iwth it, it'd probably sound sick in your blofeld in sample mode...best sample one shots iver ever heard.
it depends, every analog is diffferent, but analog envelopes have more "life" cause they are not seperated in 128 pieces like digital ones, this can heavily affect the sound chracter. And if its an analog with fast envelopes its better then every digital. Really snappy envelopes which can shake your walls
What makes one better than the other is not merely a technical issue, but our own "human" hearing, which includes psycho-acoustic phenomena, listening habits, music & sound we used to like, etc.
Example -
though CD players have superior audio specifications over turntables, I will many times find myself enjoying the analogue sound of a TT more than that of a CD player.
@CybertechProject get the spectrial audio neptune II. It kills anything in its price range. Phatist thickist ballsyist analog ive heard in its price range.
Well, it is all recorded on Cubase 3SX. But it is the Blofeld that runs here all arpeggios, sounds and effects, so , the Cubase serves as a method of recording, not really "controlling" the synth.
Saying that, all hi-hats, snares and that long reverb on the snare is from samples played on Cubase.
Everything is EQ'd and beefed up, on the cubase itself as well. The Blofeld has an inherent volume issue...

Wow ! Thank you for the positive feedback. I've just finished a remix, which is not 100% Blofeld, but more punchy instead.
I hope to find the time to upload soon.
You can listen to more of my tunes on soundcloud (.../ittai-barkai) or here on youtube, like the latest upload "Telescope".

really nice, sounds like early detroit techno, a 909 would add some kick ass pounding' (just a thought)

Hi,
Thanks for the positive comment.
Indeed a drum machine would spice it all up. Agreed.
The initial idea here, was of course to use only the Waldorf Blofeld little synth (recorded on Cubase 3 DAW), so...

5 stars, liking it a lot :) I'm currently in the market for a well priced synth, I'm considering the Blofeld, Mopho & Dark Energy :)
CybertechProject 2 years ago
Well I like the Blofeld much.
The Mopho? Why not get a tetra? The Mopho is great but monophonic.
Anyway, enjoy your future synth.
IttaiTal
ittaital 2 years ago
well, the mopho is pure analog sound, that's why I'm considering it.
also,I have 4 softsynths, that I usually use for multi-voice stuff, but I need something for phat basses
tetra is 700euros, and currently out of my budget. But actually, in the 300-500 euro synths, there are pretty many options :
- Mopho
- Blofeld
- Dark Energy
- eVolver dekstop
- SH201
etc.. options are pretty much. Btw, any chance I could get my hands on a 320kbps version of your track ? I'm totally into Berlin techno..:)
CybertechProject 2 years ago
the mopho is actually not full analog, the envelopes are digital, therefore it is hybrid betwenn analog and digital
TR0jAX 2 years ago
@TR0jAX I would have thought digital envolopes are a good idea because u can get super snappy attack times or do u loose some character?

Is there a bmp clock to see the actual bpm in this synth?
TheBasshumer 2 years ago
Hi,
If you work in "Mulit" mode (like I have done in these videos, you have a tempo clock in the main "Multi" screen.
Besides that, under the Arpeggiator you can find a BPM metronone.
