Do you prefer the cqc 7 or the super cqc 7?

@xxICAxx1 - I don't have a Super CQC-7. I have the normal and mini version only. I have seen some Supers on Ebay for 158 bucks lately and am tempted, but I am not a huge fan of the handle shape of the CQC-7 in general. Prefer the Roadhouse. I do wish they made a "mini roadhouse" also!

Hmm... okay there Frenzy, you're a knife guy and I like guns, so that's fair enough. I got a neck knife and one in my cap, but I depend more on my telescopic baton if the situation isn't a shootout

@SharkWhisperer1988 - I don't want more crap, I want lifetime quality stuff/ I don't want to have to buy more crap stuff every 6 months when the cheap crap stuff breaks. Besides, price is in the eye of the beholder. And you think Emersons are expensive?! Try checking Striders or CRK... All are worth it in my opinion. Lifetime knives.

I love great knife reviews, but that...that made this vid one of the best ever. Plus the soothing Asian music makes you seem more like Miagi.

i love this vid i couldnt find a roadhouse but i got a cqc-8 and i love it. It's so badass. it was my first emerson and all i got to say is that the camera doesnt do it justice to how badass they look in person and how they feel

Well, I THINK I've got a Roadhouse on the way. I ordered straight from Emerson. They took the money out of my account right away but I've not heard anything from them about when it's gonna ship. Fingers crossed.

@KnightBanneret - if we are talking a conflict, then ideally I'd want my Roadhouse in my right hand, all shiny and glinting and drawing the bad guy's attention - and hopefully sending him scurrying... and my wickedly dangerous, sinister, black, Emerson Combat Karambit hiding in my left - to do the real damage if it gets nasty.

But for just one knife, for any given situation, I'll still take the Roadhouse. I've had it for 5 months now and its still my favorite by far.

Nice collection....good tip on breakin in period....I would also like to add on one of mine (I think it was The Horseman) I actually took it apart and cleaned what appeared to be red locktight from the washers and internals....now it is silky smooth and I think I might make that a ritual on all my Emersons....

The 15 has been my fav for some years now. Started with the 6 for me - one of the first actually in the 80s, then the 7, then the super 7 which is more like the size of the first 6. Of course with all the new designs many of the "drawbacks" of the orginals have been improved. Just from this first look video I can tell that when he offers a super version of this knife it could be a contender to unseat the 15 as my favorite folding fighter.

I notice this with many Emerson knives, the blades are always shorter than the handle. One reason why you don't see many Emmies in my collection. I like balance. haha

This one looks good though and I like the fact it's not a chisel grind.

Thanks for the info on continually cleaning the blade and liner. IMO we shouldn't have to deal with that, but hey the majority isn't complaining so Emerson won't change this minor set back.
