  • I just uploaded new train videos on my page please take a look at them

  • Another great small GM video.

I was a passenger that day. We had 149+156 Connolly to Limerick then 124+162 from Limerick but 124 failed at Mallow on the way to Tralee and had to be removed. 162 was a partial failure at Limerick Jct on the way back where 151 was added and we had a fast run from there back to Dublin

  • they just sound like the Belgian 55 class!

  • You can smell the dazil

  • Irish locomotives have to be the noisiest diesels on Earth! Why aren't they called CIE anymore?

  • Since 1989 CIE was split into divisions - Bus Éireann, Dublin Bus, CIE Tours and in the case of rail Iarnród Éireann, all are still part of the CIÉ group which is all still owned by the Irish Government.

  • Thanks for that.

Wish our UK railways were still Government owned. The railways should be run for the populous - rather than for profit. UK roads would be far less congested if the railways were cheap and efficient. They are neither cheap or efficient here in Britain. I once paid well over £100 for a fare - and didn't even get a seat for the majority of the journey.

  • Ye it has benefits, the entire Intercity fleet it being replaced at the moment thanks to Capital Investment from the governemts Transport 21 plan

  • Lovely sound from the GM. I think recognise the munster photographer attempting to dodge the video lense too!
