The end goal of a language is communicating your thoughts. If you get understood by the other line, then it's fine. I pity those who post shallow comments. If you are not comfortable speaking this language, no one is forcing you. If you are not comfortable hearing someone speak in Bekimon, you can always choose not to listen. If someone speaks to you in Bekimon, you may always ask for consideration to speak in a language you understand. I personally do not know how to use Bekimon but admittedly, I know some eklavus & chenelyn skemberlei. But it does not mean I am less of a Filipino, less of a human & most importantly I am not hypocritical about it.

This form of language has been there since time immemorial. It has developed to a more community of speakers not only because more gay people are coming out or tolerance for gay men & women have become more relaxed, but also non-gays learned it somehow by association w/ the speakers. Masaya ang pananalitang Bekimon kung comfortable ka dito at ginagamit mo sa tamang okasyon. The videos of Bern show how people from different walks of life would probably sound & look when speaking in Bekimon.

The use of this language is not for everyone. So to speak, it originally was created & developed by Filipino gays to communicate w/ each other either for fun or to hide something from non-speakers of the language. It is not different from some Cebuanos who speak in reverse (say: yalab for balay). Or it is not different from organizations who speak in a coded way be it written or oral. Language is a free form of expression & must be respected. Precautions & respect are required.

Language is dynamic, be it Filipino, English or Chinese. As it evolves, some just becomes obsolete & new ones come out. Bekimon is a language. Its peculiarity is of course dependent on its base language, defined by the speaker's mother tongue, in the case of Bern, Filipino. The complexity of each word formation is also dependent on the creativity of the speaker to coin or affix syllables that may not be relevant to its meaning but phonologically pleasing to hear.
