nas and damian album was a big album for me this summer...your hair look EXACTLY like mine when I dont twist right before a wash they look exactly the same lol I I just started using that root stimulator gel I usually use IC Fantasic Olive but the store was out of it so I had to try something new :( I have no complaints but I love my IC fantasia I think it made m locs shine more but I'm gonna buy the salon size tub on amazon next time :)

on the hair tip, i've never used any other product (except on my first retwist where it was wax). i've got some JM&L gel but i haven't yet tried it... where i live, there aren't too many shops that cater for dreadheads, and if there are no shops for dreads stuff, there are even fewer shops for products for black folks!
@Agnelum1 I know I love that album it was so slept on people dont know real organic music anymore they really dont this album was my most played for the entire summer... still is !!!! I use only coconut oil, gel, apple cider vinegar on my hair al well as a shampoo that changes up depending on whats around...I get most of my stuff online now in bulk sizes saves money and time !!!! The least amount of products the better..coconut oil is my all in one item I cant live without!!! Great for hair/body
@0NiQue9 i interlocked only a handful of times (after every 2 or 3 months of growth). in between interlocking, i'd twist (like now). i prefer to interlock coz of how big my parts are, twisting alone won't hold.
so i've been interlocking pretty much thru-out. started my dreads with interlocking, then on the retwist at 1 month, interlocked again...
I got my locks the same way as you....just about due for my 1st retwist (1 month), idk if i should twist or interlock it tho. nice dreads anyway...and even better song choice :)

also depends on how active you are. high level of activity will require more frequent twisting...
