And that I liked so much about Chris' solo, it has a remarkable structure! Just the right sound at the right point whereas Kevin's solo sometimes doesn't fit to the underlying "background" music. Especially the solo together with Aaron's singing is already "too much".

Artificial fear isn't half the guitarist Feener is. I have been playing for over 30 years. No Comparison. AF just has 9,600 subscribers rooting for him. Feener is all around better player IMO.
This contest is between Feener and Auer easy.
The rest are either too showboat or bad recording. Both Feener and Auer compliment the song well IMO. I just liked Auer's feel better. He Seemed to make the solo exciting as well as Good quality with tasty chops. Best climax, which is what a solo is.
@RareMusicOnly You don't really understand music if you're basing solo' on technical ability only. A solo can appeal to people on such a wide range of reasons, and it's really up to the person listening to make a judgement of what sounds pleasant to their ears. I appreciate Chris's solo, but again I'm in the Artificial Fear camp, I just like the tone of his sound and the overall feel of the vibe his solo puts out. Everyone has their own opinion on what music is to them, there's no right or wrong

I based my preference for the solo on Feel. I feel AF is too much noodling shred and Chris's was well composed. And he is a much better Guitarist. Hands down.

You like bucket paint, I like disciplined art. AF's solo does not fit the song IMO. (That stands for "In My Opinion") as in preference.
@ChrisFeener agreed, both solos are good, however Mr Feener's flows and slowly leads the way to the next part of the song while growing in intensity. I found ArtificialFears solo to be all over the place, and more like a bunch of "ideas" put together. My Vote is for Chris

It's between Chris Feener and Brian Auer's entry for me. Hard to decide.
Brian's has a lot more dynamics and fits the song perfect with amazing technique and originality to the approach IMO. One of a Kind!
Chris's is totally awesome but sounds like Satch, Andy James, Malmsteen, and others etc.. I don't really hear Chris in there.
We'll just have to see what the judges say.

@James0543 Seriously, you don't know what your talking about. You don't go into the music industry if you want to make money. Musicians are notoriously broke most of the time, even the guys in well established bands. You go into making music for the love of the music. Can you blame a person for seeing if maybe they can win a guitar in a contest, even if they are already in an established band, no. I don't see you making music, so before you start spewing nonsence, think for the sake of yourself.

@James0543 I do believe that you are the one who is wrong, look at the amount of musicians who make it rich, and then look at the amount that don't, there are vast amounts more who are struggling to make ends meet and get buy, musicians DO NOT make a lot of money, yes a few do, like Chris said, Kirk Hammet for example, he makes a shit ton of money, yes, but there are probably a thousand musicians for ever one musician who makes a "shit ton" of money, at least that amount.

I know soo many great musicians and great bands, who cant even make a living from just their music, and its a pain to see so many "talentless" people on MTV who can barely call themselves musicians, getting damn rich. its a shame, but hey, i get to see awesome bands without having to pay a shitload of money for a ticket :P
