You just have to prove to the BATFE that you're not a crazy cop killer or a violent person and tell them why you want a machine gun. Usually, after that you're good to go.

All stock except the hammer and I put HK Black Duracoat on it when the finish was wearing from my holster. More accurate then my Springfield GI, Kimber Custom II, and my RIA. I use it for EDC...
i've heard that the decocker breaks off easy on the taurus 1911, but i love 1911's and i can't afford a kimber or any high brand ones. unless i sell my AR, and that will never happen.

It took me over three months to get a replacement part. Three and one half months for a stinking piece of metal. I will never own another taurus. Every taurus I've owned has had at least one defect, that would be a total of seven.

as of now i have fired over 500 rnds through this gun without any jams or misfeeds. Cleaned it last night and there are no unusual wear marks. This is turning into my fave firearm and to those who are thinking of getting one.....do as they certainly shoot far better than you would expect for the money. does the smith and wesson ones come with the same features as the pt1911. such as a throated chamber so you can run hollow points and such. i was just wondering cuz the gun store has a pt1911 for 770 and a smith and wesson 1911 for 850 and its a toss up on which to get. im leaning towards the pt191 seeing how i have heard nothing but good of it and its in that sweet two tone.
The taurus has a lot more custom work done at the factory than the smith. Only thing $770 seems a little steep? i paid just over 6 for mine! check out the video response you will see how the 1911 performs
well they msrp for 810 now a days idk when you got yours but still i think 770 isnt bad compaired to other 1911s. there basie modle is like 600ish. but thats at bass pro so im still pricing around.
my PT1911 left thumb safety fell out. if you have the ami safety be careful of the possibility of it just popping out. having to order a new one. one that is not ami just a single left thumb safety..
You can definitely get this gun in SS. I have this same gun and its beast....made a few mods to it and it looks 200 percent better. This gun in blued and grey is pretty bad ass too guys, check it out
I have this pistol as well, but I have the AR version all blued finish. I put a tac light on it too. I didn't really need the light, but the pistol has a rail on it so I got one anyway. I also am having trouble finding .45 ammo, but I think pretty much everybody is. Nice vid!
