I think the 1st limit and concern for your children should be a proper bed time. When I was 10, 11 and even 12 I was in bed by 9 or 10 on a school night. There is a great invention to help parents. Its called tivo, you record something then watch it and THEN decide if its good for your child.

My child was in bed when it was on as well, but it hasn't stopped him from being surrounded by information about the performances because it's been mentioned in the news, on the radio & on blips for entertainment shows that recapped the AMAs.

I haven't enjoyed the performances on these shows much at all over the last couple of years. It's been less about music and more about "shock" under the guise of calling it "art". Just my 2 cents.
