These rappers are dressed like real men, not like faggot thugs we see in today’s music. Tell me what kind of man would feel comfortable showing his underwear or boxer for another man to see? Only faggots. The 90’s rappers are the best to date.
Pete Rock and CL Smooth = pure talent. This is true hip hop folks. These guys are still around. Amazing samples mixed with lyrics that are genius. Where did this type of music go? So sad. Life in the early 90's was awesome and a hell of a lot easier. Does anybody have the keys to the DeLorean?
When I saw this it gave me goosebumps and made me remember how fun Hip Hop in NYC In the 90's use to be. Just to think months after this performance, a person who had just as much talent sampling funk music on an SP12 was to release an all time classic, Dr. Dre The Chronic album. Notorious BIG was to duet with Mary J. Blige this year also. 1992 was a pivotal year in hip hop. All you Soulja Boy fan boys need to step aside and look at real Hip Hop.
This stuff had substance. No autotune. No blasting synthesizers and over-done 4-bar monotones. No unnecessary "fuck you"s and cultural references that feel forced and fall flat. Im not a hip hop fan, but I respect the art that it was when role models like PR and CL ruled the airwaves. Hip-hop used to be a culture, now its a lifeless, talentless, brainwashing tactic that is going to lead to the downfall of society as we know it. NO EXAGGERATION.
LOL! I see ya! Little Jennifer Lopez introducing the pose as she barely can say the name of the song! Real Cute baby girl! But in life one must start from somewhere! She was just learning what the New York rap scene was all about as I am looking at her dance moves. Still it was all good in the neighborhood.
Later through the years she became a much better dancer and now she's a billionaire. Who would've thought that! Goes to show you legends are not planned but picked by destiny!
I've been saying this a lot but I'm gonna say this again. I look forward to the day where we can celebrate old skool hip-hop without talking about lil wayne or some other crap none of us likes.
Love the Grown Folk hip hop, not this kiddie rap nowadays, (not hate'n) Just seems like theres no passion for the art anymore, just the lust for money..
WOW this is what I call a CLASSIC track. This should be a lesson to all these new age fools that think lil Wayne is the greatest thing out there should check this out and take notes.
Shit, Jo-Lo when she was an average stugglin' ho. Looks like she was carefree and happy, now she is a slave to the dollar and has to worry about fucking everything b/c one bad pic and her career is ruined (lol). U'll never see Jo-Lo get down like that today.
It brings back the memory of early 90s'... That's then In Living Color and Arsenio Hall Show are the hottest TV shows. Jennifer Lopez introducing Pete Rock and CL... Wow...
Now this is Hip Hop- not Hip Pop(Hip Hop's remedial cousin who rolls with the Corporate dictation of infecting the Nation with pure 100% negative stereotypical dumbassification of the lowest common summation).
That.s J - Lo @ 0:09
