@IndiaforHindus LMAO. HAHAHAHA. The British didn't dare to take over India because of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the Sikh Khalsa army. They knew under his command, they would not win. The British waited after his passing to go for India. They also did not want these strong men to go waste, so they were recruited in the British army and were used to help in the World Wars. Do not forget that India was a colony for the British and it's because of them that India started to gain some structure.

The British establishment are in a heavy debt to Sikh nation. Sikhs need to remind them what they owe them. Forget gratitude Sikhs need real recognition for past sacrifices when they could have used that manpower to over run british imperialist forces in the Indian subcontinent and free their homeland.

I used to think of sikhs mainly as people with funny things on their heads (didn't really *know* anything). Recently I've read up on sikhism and it makes a lot of sense actually. I totally respect it. Even the headwear. :-)

Wow. This really got to me :) *Hand on heart* And Oh my god. Im not certain.. But I think that maybe one of the men in one of these pictures is my Granddad. It's hard to tell though cause the pictures are not very clear hence why im not certain. But if it is :O Im so very proud! hi my grandad was in ww2 he showed me photos of him in france with a group of sikh soilders he told me when ever they went to fight they would do so while praying this made them stronger, thanks to all the sikhs for your help we needed it.
