Great series, V-tech outplayed us in 08 and made the plays when it mattered in 09.  With our revamped Offense and ever improving Defense, let's do it again sometime soon...say a BCS bowl?

i am a VT fan and tip my hat to NU they are a very good football team that i believe deserves to be in the top 10 with VT. i am rooting for them to win out and they are honestly my pick to win the big 12 this year they have made huge gains since last year and we were lucky to get a win that game couldve gone either way

The only thing that upsets me about this game is the way it was called. Did you guys know that one of the officials wrote a letter to NU apologizing for one bad call? The call came when we scored the TD (after the first one that came back from a penalty). Notice that the play isn't shown here... The official ruled him out of bounds but further reviews showed he was clearly in with possession. Other than that VT played a hell of a game. I won't take that from them.

No, he didn't have possession. You have to have possession all the way through the catch...the receiver dropped the ball when he hit the ground. They looked at it over and over again on TV

Your right...kind of. Because he was headed out of bounds, and his knees hit the ground first, it would have been ruled a catch. You can't really argue with me because the Big 12 officials (the ones who called the game) admitted after reviewing the play later that it was a catch. That is why NU got a letter of apology from the Big 12 officiating crew. It makes no difference, however, because the game is done. We lost. That's all there is to it.

you confuse one player, Tyrod Taylor, with the whole team, no doubt he is a great player, good enough to win the game for VT, but I agree with bosman. If you watched the game you can't deny that NU looked dominant in many aspects. If everything was reversed, the scores, all the stats, basically if you saw the same game but with the jerseys switched and NU won in the last second I suspect you'd be saying that VT was the better team except for NU's 3 big plays.

so by your logic then, the better team always wins. it has never happened that a worse team just got lucky and won? that type of thing happens all the time. they're called UPSETS, you know when the number 1 team loses to an unranked team with 3 losses. it's not unheard of. obviously a win is a win, but just because someone wins doesn't mean they have a better team always. in fact you mark my words by the end of the season NU will be ranked higher than VT.
