My dog has 3 legs. she had a bone problem and they had to cut it off. We love her and she runs around like nothings hapened. people think its gross or scary, but when they get to understand her. they love her more :D lol. its amazing what people think about animals and even if there "Different" there still normal dogs inside. they have feelings and hearts too. :D

I saw a little dog in Fermanagh village in Ireland walking on its FRONT legs. Its back legs were run over by a car as a pup. This vid is good but the little dog walking on front legs with its tail in the air was amazing.
It's not even close to being a "miracle". It's just another roadside freak show that passes through the county once or twice a year. So where's the fat lady with a beard ? Or the two headed calf ?

I would like to see this dog get help with walking. This upright stance can't be all that good for her. i would suggest some kind of wheel device to take the strain off her hind legs.

What's with everyone..everyone is entitled to their opinion...actually I feel sorry for this dog being forced to walk on his back legs...what's going to happen when his joints detoriate...I had a Yorkie who's was paralyzed and his back legs didn't work...I had to help him eliminate and the vet said we could strap a two wheeler to him to enable him to walk without dragging his bottom...that's what this dog needs in the front...and yes they do make them so how about everyone "CHILLING OUT"

A dog's physical skeleton is not made to support the animal walking on it's two hind legs only. This is doing major damage to his muscular and skeletal system, and IS causing him pain despite his "happy" appearance This is not an inspiration, this is a aberration , and IMO abuse. It's like taking a good-natured soldier who lost his legs and making him walk on his arms, then ask him just how much it hurts. Of course you'd say he "must be fine" because he still smiles sometimes.
@eringobarncurlies you are incorrect...if you listened to the video you would have heard that the dog was born this way and has been walking like this since birth. Therefore, his ligaments, joints, muscles, etc. have adjusted to the odd style with which he must walk.
If you listened to the people talking about the dog, it was born that way, and has adapted to walking with only its 2 legs. You really need to listen before firing your mouth. Especially online.
This dog is truly a miracle. Its good to see that he has such a good home with people that care about him. I think he's absolutely adorable walking upright with his shirt on. It's just another day for him, and he looks so happy. :) Amazing. Lifted me up today.

Born to it or not, a dog is not built to walk in this manner. It was a mutant puppy caused by uninformed, backyard breeders trying for a "designer" dog, not a "god inspired miracle". Just because it's been that way since birth doesn't mean a thing, nature dose not readapt in a single generation to allow this dog to walk on it's hind legs without pain. A "wheelchair" would have allowed it more natural movement. This is abuse, plain and simple.

I have to ask, are you a certified vet? If not then you should not make such assumptions. As they said numerous vets have looked and studied the dog and found that the joints and muscles changed to adapt. This is not uncommon and can be seen in humans as well. It's not a major change if you honestly study the skeletal structure. It is not abuse and not abomination. Just because you do not understand nature does not mean it can not happen.
"They said" means exactly nothing. "They" can say whatever "they" want and you'd eat it up because you WANT the dog to be 'happy' and pain free this way. I tell you something from life-long experience, yes a body can adapt to a deformity, but that doesn't mean it's pain free. As that body ages the pain/ stress to the joints intensifies. There are ways to minimize the pain caused by such deformity by trying to keep the body positioned as nature intended as closely as possible. This is abuse.
And, funny how in all the comments on all the videos not a single one is from a credible, certified, searchable! vet that can be found or quoted as saying this dog is "comfortable and healthy" only that the joints adapt... of course they do! Not that it's pain free and comfortable, though! But definitely, by all means, believe every word "they" say. Am I the only one that believes quality of life is more important that quantity?
Again, show me your credentials as a vet, show me "your" proof that "you're" right. You can't, cause you don't know as much as you think you do. All you're doing is assuming you know all this stuff and making comments about your own opinions. You are absolutely no different from the "they" your are trying to discredit. I never claimed to be a vet at any time. i speak from years of experience with animals and personal experience with a spinal deformity from birth. I've adapted, not without constant pain, but because I laugh and smile that must mean I'm perfectly okay? Because that's the mentality of too many people on here. Yes, i've seen change, and what nature will allow an animal to do to survive is simply amazing, but this, there is no reason this dog had to learn to walk so unnaturally just to survive!

Faith has 2 vets. Dr. Diane Delbridge in Yukon, Oklahoma is one. We changed her name in the book and call her Dr. Putnam for personal reasons. She didn't want the publicity. Her second vet is Dr. Tina Neel of Oklahoma City, and you can reach her at 405 947-VETS do not call Dr. Delbridge.She is very private.

hi 2 the owner of this dog, I wud like 2 suggest a solution for this dog, since it does not hv the front legs n lookg at it cud probably can walk a short distance & might need 2 rest / hv a break, Y not customize a pair of folderable front for it 2 balance n rest when is tied but as he walk with it hind legs this pair of front legs wud fold up and automatically drop to vertical alignment due 2 gravity when it's body starts to descend?

my dog had 2 total hip replacements and he went on to be a hospital therapy dog 4 five years. now's he's 13 years old and he's having a great retirement. shelter dogs give back to the people who adopt them.

What's with everyone..everyone is entitled to their opinion...actually I feel sorry for this dog being forced to walk on his back legs...what's going to happen when his joints detoriate...I had a Yorkie who's was paralyzed and his back legs didn't work...I had to help him eliminate and the vet said we could strap a two wheeler to him to enable him to walk without dragging his bottom...that's what this dog needs in the front...and yes they do make them so how about everyone "CHILLING OUT"

A dog's physical skeleton is not made to support the animal walking on it's two hind legs only. This is doing major damage to his muscular and skeletal system, and IS causing him pain despite his "happy" appearance This is not an inspiration, this is a aberration , and IMO abuse. It's like taking a good-natured soldier who lost his legs and making him walk on his arms, then ask him just how much it hurts. Of course you'd say he "must be fine" because he still smiles sometimes.

@eringobarncurlies you are incorrect...if you listened to the video you would have heard that the dog was born this way and has been walking like this since birth. Therefore, his ligaments, joints, muscles, etc. have adjusted to the odd style with which he must walk.

If you listened to the people talking about the dog, it was born that way, and has adapted to walking with only its 2 legs. You really need to listen before firing your mouth. Especially online.
This dog is truly a miracle. Its good to see that he has such a good home with people that care about him. I think he's absolutely adorable walking upright with his shirt on. It's just another day for him, and he looks so happy. :) Amazing. Lifted me up today.

Born to it or not, a dog is not built to walk in this manner. It was a mutant puppy caused by uninformed, backyard breeders trying for a "designer" dog, not a "god inspired miracle". Just because it's been that way since birth doesn't mean a thing, nature dose not readapt in a single generation to allow this dog to walk on it's hind legs without pain. A "wheelchair" would have allowed it more natural movement. This is abuse, plain and simple.

I have to ask, are you a certified vet? If not then you should not make such assumptions. As they said numerous vets have looked and studied the dog and found that the joints and muscles changed to adapt. This is not uncommon and can be seen in humans as well. It's not a major change if you honestly study the skeletal structure. It is not abuse and not abomination. Just because you do not understand nature does not mean it can not happen.

"They said" means exactly nothing. "They" can say whatever "they" want and you'd eat it up because you WANT the dog to be 'happy' and pain free this way. I tell you something from life-long experience, yes a body can adapt to a deformity, but that doesn't mean it's pain free. As that body ages the pain/ stress to the joints intensifies. There are ways to minimize the pain caused by such deformity by trying to keep the body positioned as nature intended as closely as possible. This is abuse.

And, funny how in all the comments on all the videos not a single one is from a credible, certified, searchable! vet that can be found or quoted as saying this dog is "comfortable and healthy" only that the joints adapt... of course they do! Not that it's pain free and comfortable, though! But definitely, by all means, believe every word "they" say. Am I the only one that believes quality of life is more important that quantity?

Again, show me your credentials as a vet, show me "your" proof that "you're" right. You can't, cause you don't know as much as you think you do. All you're doing is assuming you know all this stuff and making comments about your own opinions. You are absolutely no different from the "they" your are trying to discredit. I never claimed to be a vet at any time. i speak from years of experience with animals and personal experience with a spinal deformity from birth. I've adapted, not without constant pain, but because I laugh and smile that must mean I'm perfectly okay? Because that's the mentality of too many people on here. Yes, i've seen change, and what nature will allow an animal to do to survive is simply amazing, but this, there is no reason this dog had to learn to walk so unnaturally just to survive!

it wasn't a genetic adaptation, dumbass. it was physiological.
the dog has been walking in that manner since birth. the stress this put on its growing body seems to have caused an unusual buildup of mineralized tissue and strengthened connective materials in unusual and unorthodox directions. its been checked by vets. many multiple times. they seem to think its quite amazing. so until YOU can prove that its NOT fine,

and also, you gotta realize, strength and size are not proportionate. you know, ants, lifting 15X their own weight, and such other things like that.
the stress a person would suffer in a similar situation is considerably more than that which a dog would be put through.
considering her unique physiology and adapted legs, I'm sure shes feeling pretty damn fine.
