@TweedProductions I think they're both extremely talented, among the best in the business. Soule's work on the Skyrim soundtrack is incredible. Inon Zur's work is amazing as well.
@Alozaps The Skyrim soundtrack is SO much better than the Oblivion soundtrack. It's like Soule woke up and started putting effort into his work again.
@TweedProductions For me, I'd probably say the Skyrim soundtrack is better as well. Although, there are a few tracks from Oblivion that I really like. They're different styles; Skyrim's soundtrack was meant to have sort of a "tribal" feel with loud and prominent drums, while Oblivion's was more on the beauty side. Soule had more advanced resources this time around.
Because people complained that there is no speech in DAO 1, they just dont wanted to hire 12 voice actors for each origin (male and females). Understandable.
This game has to have the 2nd best video game soundtrack ever. Sorry guys, Zelda is still number 1 lol. Still this game has an epic soundtrack. One of the best i ever heard. You know, i realize that the same company made both games, but Mass Effect can kiss my ass. Dragon Age is like, 1,000 times better. I only wish i had played it before uploading my top 20 fav games of the decade vid. This game wouldve easily been #5.
I'd like to figure out how to add this track to the one that plays for the Camp. The actual camp track is beautiful but so short and repetitive. This would be so nice and so appropriate in tone for resting and preparing at camp.
One easy method is to change the filename for this track to the one that plays in camp. Move the camp song into another folder for safekeeping, along with a copy of this song so you can revert the changes. Then when the game calls up the file for camp music it will play this instead.
It's amazing how music can hold us thrall, especially music like this. How can we 'feel' emotion in music? How can our minds decipher different pieces of music as having different emotions? It's always made me wonder...maybe there's something more to music, and all arts, then meets the eye.
I see this as the protagonist's theme. Every-time I hear it, I think about my character's goals, origins, loves, friends, and journeys. It's full of melancholy, and doesn't relent in giving me the feeling of being overwhelmed and ultimately how alone the Warden is, and it somehow makes me feel the gravity of the situation- that it's the whole world at stake.
But most of all, when I hear this I think of one thing- the journey has to end at some point, happy ending or not.
@Ilnezhara hmmmm im starting to think that dragon age origins is better than da2 because i love this song and making my character, making my own legend you know?
I am entitled to say that this is one of the MOST beautiful melody ever created by humanity! I'd listened a lot of beautiful songs before but this... it's beyond expression..
@SaiyanElite Thats really strange for me, since i loved the trilogy, this always reminded me of... well Dragon age :P i thought subconsciously it would remind me of lord of the rings but i always just get reminded of the unique world of dragon age and the first time i played this game :D
@TygerXG2 --Same here TygerXG2. Everytime I hear this song I think of Leliana, the game too actually. Funny how a game and music makes me think of one character.
Jeremy Soule doesn't hold a candle to Inon Zur as far as I'm concerned.

@Alozaps I Still prefer the Main Themes of Throne of Bhaal and Icewind Dale !

If you want to be technical, there were a total of 8 origins and 6 voice selections, and two genders. That comes to 96 voice actors.

@Pliio8
Don't forget the chance that a voice actor may be used more than once for a role.

@Johnsen1972 Couldn't they have just used one more actor's voice and then just amplify that voice to sound like other people?

@spock98231 I would offer my ideas, but I know how badly and how any kind of spiritual discussion in YouTube comments degenerates. :(

The Dragon Age 2 Soundtrack had better be as good as the first or better, or I will be extremely dissapointed...

Can't believe DA2 has no character creation.
Jiggaman3225 1 year ago
@Jiggaman3225 There is also a character creation in DA2 but with only one playable race: humans. Just like Mass Effect.
