  • OHHH hahahah! at the beginning when you were showing the method i thought that was the tutorial. i was like slow down!!!! then you started the tutorial.... Thanks a lot! this cut down my time. it was taking me 70 moves with my way. and i knew there had to be a quicker way.

  • Do you use East Sheen? I have ES too... It´s amazing

  • @indy54931 Lan-Lan it actually cuts corners

  • when u have the case when the 2 adajacent corners need 2 be switched u can also use the alg u used, the T perm, or the perm u use on the 3x3 to switch 2 adajacent edges and corners

  • I cringe everytime I hear the way he says Fridrich. FREEEEEEEEDRICH.

  • Wow, I learned the adjeacent corner-switch in two seconds . . .

  • Super, awesome video, man!!

  • Thank you oh so very much for the tutorial! My average went down about five seconds! :D

  • This tutorial is amazing. You have a gift for teaching

  • Comment removed

  • which cube do you use?

  • whats that algorithm u did at 4:48?

  • u dont have to say down prime just do u2 dang

  • you should type case #2 as R2 U' R2 U2 Y R2 U' R2

so you dont regrip on the D'

  • i can do the OLL but the PLL is just too confusing, can show how to recognize the case in PLL more clearly.

  • to complicated

  • Thx for making this vid!

  • thanks dude, this is indeed a good tut...=p

  • subbed :)

  • what cube is that and how is it so loose

  • Around how long does it take to fully learn ortega?

  • @MultiCubed Took me 1-2 days. Its not very hard if you already know 2 look oll and pll. You only need to learn a couple extra algs.

  • Man I really wish i could afford a cube =[ I'm so damned poor. :(

  • Good job. Isn't Rowe's tutorial for making a layer ( cll or fridrich) not ortega? Very helpful guide.

  • @speedcuber0210 Yes it is, but it is very helpful no matter what.

1 second first layer of any kind is good for Ortega ;)

  • Nicely done...very clear tutorial...

  • omgthx monkeydude now i can solve the 2x2 in 60 moves!!!11

  • @fswaddle I just did a solve with this method in 13.....

Where are you getting 60 from?

  • change the headlights to F R U R' U' F' PLEASE

  • @rcnrcn927 As I said before, the algs in the description are for 2-Look OLL on the 3x3. And will be left as such.

  • thats soo interesting lol

  • i had no idea i was using ortega.

  • "You should average about 5 seconds, if not, then better" :P I only average 10 seconds

  • @BluePi1313 "You should be able to as well" as kind of an estimate for how fast is possible with it.

  • nice i do this method and i average 7-8 seconds . try to be color neutral on 2x2 u will be about 1 second faster in ur average

  • Awesome tutorial. The way I was doing it was (i dont know what this is called) first layer intuitively, OLL, PLL using 3x3 algorithms. I plan on learning CLL though. I have a few memorized already.

  • Thanks. it's been a while since one of these....

  • @JL2996 Way too long in my opinion.

  • wow... I would have to learn 2 algorithms, probably should invest 5 seconds to get them down.

  • which 2x2 method is most popular?

  • @davidgreece1 CLL i think. Many algorythms and not much faster than ortega. I prefer ortega.

  • @tapio2003 CLL gets you down from 4-5ish with Ortega to 2-3 with CLL.

From average to WR possible ;)

  • I average about 5-6sec using lbl should i learn this method?

  • @rubikscuber952 yes you will get sub-5

  • Car 'advanced' alg:: R2 U2 R(') U2 R2^^

  • @David0794 The algs posted in the description are for 3x3 2-Look OLL.

  • very nice...for the one at : 2:48 has 2 more algos I know of...R2 U F2 U2 R2 U R2, and the other on is: make the bottom face your front face and then make your left face your front face,,,,,z' y' ?....and then do F (R U R' U' R U R' U' R U R' U') an the end you need to do a U2

    tell my if im correnct

  • I can't believe I neglected to learn Ortega for so long. Well, now I know it. It took about 15 minutes to learn and I'm solving 2x2 faster. woo

    btw, J perm > T perm

  • For case 2 on step 3, you have a D and not a D' there

  • is eastsheen your main cube?

  • Yay! I requested this tutorial on facebook!

  • New tut. awesome.

November 7th, 2009 and June 28, 2010 is quite far apart.

  • @LorenzoCubes I know right? I realized that, which led me to make tutorials again.

    8 Months or so! Danggggg
