I have done my research and i can seriously say .... AMD wins

the i7 from intel are just recycled pentuim 4's with hyper threading (8 threads) vs AMD's Phenom II (4 threads) I did a test and realised the 8 threads are useless because 2 threads arent as effective as 1 thread on an AMD cpu... In GAMING..

Im not slagging off Intel .. but they are the fucking epitome of evil money hungry companies.... that can suck my balls thats goes for you too NVIDIA... lol

Intel was getting raped by AMD until the Core Duo's came along, then they really got beat when Core 2 Duo got released.

Everything before that, Intel was just a cocky manufacturer which AMD beat. During the whole Pentium era (including Pentium D), AMD offered faster processors with lower GHz ratings, lower power consumption and heat, for cheaper than anything Intel could throw at them. All Intel really had going for them was the larger brand name.

well i used the OCZ freeze which is better than arctic silver.. no changes in temp. i have the stock cooling and nothing overclocked.. good cable managament, only lacks the amount of fans.. and so i found a solution, gonna get a new pc.. a gaming one. coz the one i have now is outdated.. thats why im selling it.

nah.. i prefer amd phenom II 955 :) im not an intel guy.. i never had an intel PC.. and i dont think ill ever have. i mean core i7 is better for video editing since it got more L3 cache than phenom II but i7 doesnt have much L2 cache like the Phenom II does.. games utilize more L2 cache... so the more, the better :)

WOW NIce Yes the Full HD Movies depend on the Graphic card but more with CPU ! An experiment try to mount an 4890 on a Intel Celeron and then you will see will have Small Frames and the CPU will work 100% . Nice Movies :) Bravooo

Well i got the dfi lt x48 t2r, 8gb of corsair dominator at 960mhz 5-5-5-15, with the Q9650 at 1600fsb and 3.2ghz ;) im also running the 295gtx. I just found on everest phenom x4 black 940 stayin bit behind me in all benches ! :d im not saying though its not good heh.

its just the fact that im a 3dfx addict ... now nvidia selling their tech. heh.

The 4870 X2 was released Aug 12, 2008.

The GTX295 was released Jan 8, 2009.

nVidia released the GTX295 almost half a year after the 4870 X2, so it's no secret why it performs better. I have a 4870 X2 personally, but I got it for $300 last November. That's almost half the price of a GTX295 currently.

The GTX295 is a good card, but it is late and very expensive compared to the 4870 X2.

I agree with chriskeliris. By rights, they should have been playing a HD film, having an intensive game running, and then doing something else a bit intensive. I don't really think this is pushing the Phenom to the best of it's ability to be honest.

Pretty cool, but im sure you could open more windows that that; i just managed to open and play 4 you tube browsers with my Intel Pentium 4. The AMD phenom II 940 processor is much more powerful and is able to perform much better than 5 browers....
