Brazil is doing very good in business, but Brazilian should also see the bigger size of the spectrum in which can make any country developed if they really wish so. I notice as a Brazilian that most of the media and general public is much more concerned about it's economy and complacent about others things that are essential for a developed standard. It's hard to say changing are taking place, last government's announcement meant 55billons cuts for 2012. Less money for it's needed functions.
@serbraz, there are many realities in our giant country. Don't you travel? As a person said here, Brazil is not only Rio de Janeiro, where many problems are better now (investments etc. because of the World Cup and Olimpic Games). There are many nice, calm, clean and safe smaller towns. A good example: Gramado in the South. But it's not very visited by Europeans etc. because it's very "European" and they prefer to see "exotic" places like Rio, other cities on the coast, and their good side.
Rio de Janeiro is a piece of shit. There are at least ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY cities in Brazil with higher quality of life than Rio since last research by government burocrats. Stop thinking Rio de Janeiro = Brazil because that city is a piece of shit.
go brazil! :D economy is all about population. 1st will be china, and brazil will bounce to number 5 :) and you guys have a lot of interesting ressources such as eucalyptus!
Yes, yes, yes, Brazil has a lot of problems, some of them overvalued because of the stereotypes, but it is a rapidly developing country. All first world nations have passed through this process. We will be one of the most advanced countries of the globe for the happiness of all because Brazil is a wonderful country.
We must consider facts like territory and population size, wealth distribution by gine coefficient. Brazil is a rich nation only for some Brazilian, it is ranked by trusted tink-tanks as a nation with unfair destribution, some of the worst nations in the planet. I want to see before dying a news that says that Brazil has become a developed one.
I don't think I'll see that news even if I'd live for a century, in a country completely dependant of commodits to grow itself. What about EDUCATION ????
@MrDener2009, you live in Holland, a small country, easier to develop. How could you expect a giant ex-colony that had a big slavery until 1888 had already a so fair distribution? Not only some Brazilians. For what I've seen in Europe, I can tell you that Brazilian middle class live better than in Holland, England, France etc. Except in rich neighborhoods, only poor and low middle class here live in so small apartments. At least some of "the worst nations" here live better than your average.
@LoyalNancy What is a good living for you?? Perhaps you're one of those few middle class Brazilian, who live locked in your flat and when intend of going around the town take your bullet-proof car driving in thoses ugly places, in those street conditions I saw once I've been there.
@MrDener2009, if the whole country was dangerous, had only ugly places, poor people and bad conditions, certainly so many Europeans wouldn't be here, including recent Dutch. Ask them why. There is even a Dutch town called "Holambra" (see in google). I was twice in Holland and could tell you somethings I didn't like at first sight, but I never generalize and prefer remember the positive side of each place. Your opinions seem to be more from what you've seen in the media (they love sensationalism).
@LoyalNancy Brazil is really a joke! How can a country hold such high rank as the 6th biggest in the world and at the same time post 84 out of 187 countries in HDI, that shows how good welfare Brazil places in the world, everyone knows that Brazil is growing on the back of it's rich resources and doing little or nothing for a future competitive economy. You all must prey for countries like China keeping growing, otherwise not even industries you're going to have.
@MrDener2009, there are countries in South America etc. with "official" better HDI etc., but if you visit them you'll see they are much more poor, worse education etc. Each country and government inform what they want... Since I began travelling, I don't trust in these rates anymore. You show little knowledge about Brazil. The country can get richer, but will never eliminate completely poverty because of the huge border with many countries. Many poor people will always arrive.
@LoyalNancy Hahah, so you mean I shouldn't trust what this video is reporting...
Shouldn't I believe some of the most trusted surveys editor in the world? Hey I know your country has made some good progress economically but it is still too unequal, even taking million out of poverty in a decade couldn't solve such a disparaging problem, there are still almost 20 million in destitution, education is really a big issue in Brazil and in that is the key solution for it's problems.
@MrDener2009, to be honest, I don't beleive these rates really show the reality because countries have different currencies and they convert what they produce for dollars. So, countries with stronger currencies like UK etc. get advantage. Probably in reality Brazilian economy was already bigger before. Also difficult to believe a country with 1,4 billion people like China, with good production (but weak currency) doesn't have a larger economy than the US even with a big poor population yet.
@MrDener2009, by the way, for you equality and education is "the key" and even consider Brazil a joke. But for me a joke is a country with supposed less unequality and more education, but where it's considered "normal" women exposed in shop windows as goods/objects, to be considered "developed"...
@LoyalNancy Sorry for not replying anymore of your comments!
For me is too contradicting someone who says 'do not believe rates' and at the same instance praises this report posted in you tube. Too incoherent, utter nonsense and unreliable. I'm also sorry for what's happening in Salvador, hope things get calmer. It's so sad to see news like that, it must be hard too be poor in a country like Brazil.
@MrDener2009, where am I praising the report? I just responded to comments. Do you mean the strike in Salvador? I saw in Internet (Dutch Daily News) that only in 2010 there were 21 strikes in Holland. It must be hard to be rich there. I'm good in "space wars" in Internet, but don't worry, I won't sing the music "Ah, se eu te pego" (Oh if I catch you) for you... :-)
@LoyalNancy Strikes are quite normal to have in any country, what is not normal is almost 160 deaths in only 10 days walk out. Not even in Greece totally screwed up financially having lots of tough protests we see that. Security is getting worse in Brazil day by day even recognizing was never good before, most of the police are involved in crime practice for the low wages they earn. There's no such a corrupt country like yours, money can't buy ethics.
@MrDener2009, it was a police strike in a city with more than 3 million people. Abnormal would be if any crime happened. I saw now in your channel that you write in Portuguese and know slangs that only a Brazilian would know. Probably another immigrant who believed that could have a much better life in Europe etc. It's psychological: you all need to focus only in all bad things you can to avoid admit the truth: you left everything for nothing, miss the good things of Brazil and are not happy.
Good bye.
As the video reveals, we're the sixth largest economy, but we're still in a low IDH position. It means the country has too much to offer, but unfortunately we're in the hands of bad administrators and corrupt politicians.
Brazil will only reach a developed country if all the brazilian people have access to health, food, accommodation and education of the finest quality!!!
@aquaramaco Oh i know its not all slums,Brazil is very simular to India in that respect. But per Capita the UK is much better off,i mean even the poor unemployed people on benafits/welfare get a free council house/flat/bungalow all paid for and even have large flat screen TV's with sky/cable,computers internet, free dental and healthcare etc etc, poor people in Brazil certainly dont get all that.
@Aquaramaco i'm brazilian, and i testify what the @athleticguyUK said. I say more: the brazilian cultural poverty is so poor that our governments don't know to use this "economic advantage" to leverage, nor even, the education today, to foment the industry tomorrow. Nor even they know how to avoid deindustrialization today.
@BebeHistoric Only Brazilians with a low self esteem likes to talk about cultural poverty, whatever that is. That education needs to improve in Brazil is a fact, but government cannot do it alone. It's also up to the loud mouths in Brazil who love to bitch about it but does nothing about itself. That needs to change though you have that kind of mentality everywhere. Deindustrialization in Brazil is overhyped, though it's a threat, go to Detroit in the US to see real deindustrrialization.
@nickfl1980 You're a liar. I love my country. More than that, I love my nation, so I worry about the TRUTH. Find out about the demands that China does to Brazil! China demands that Brazil don't industrialize, ask that any auditor of the Brazilian Internal Revenue Service tax, if he is honest will tell you the TRUTH! If you do not know what is happening, then investique and don't make a useful idiot of Marxism.
I just don't write more for lack of space. And I won't waste my time with people LIAR!
@aquaramaco Oh i know its not all slums,Brazil is very simular to India in that respect. But per Capita the UK is much better off,i mean even the poor unemployed people on benafits/welfare get a free council house/flat/bungalow all paid for and even have large flat screen TV's with sky/cable,computers internet, free dental and healthcare etc etc, poor people in Brazil certaintly dont get all that.
You are right in some points, but you would be impressed of what poor brazilians can buy.
Our gains can be lower, but also our goods are cheapier.
You don't see cable in poor houses, but yes: you see computers (good computers), satellite dishes and big tv's.
Consum is not the problem of the brazilians, i can ensure you that... our problem is the wealth distribution. Plus the education and health investments.
But we are finally growing, and brazilians learn quickly.
One more last thing, I'm foreigner myself and living in the US..and taught myself about Brazil and I need to learn more, because that nation is huge. So far what I understand is, Brazil you must divide in 5 regions (5 regions with in total 26 states and a federal district, similar system like the US). You must divide it in 5 regions, because each region is totally different from each other, not only in climate, but also in landscapes, culturely and economically. check my website to learn more.
Back to the Chinese yuan. When it's gaines in value (Chinese yuan will be backed by gold in the future, when? I don't know, but will happen and it's discussed, openly) it will be good for nations like Brazil, who's products will be cheaper that Chinese and other asian people want. All what Brazil needs (President dilma already plans that) is tax reform that's based on production and a tax reform so that Brazilians can save and buy their own products that they produce (Intern and extern).
Brazil standard of living is high, it depends in which state you live. States in the South, South-Eastern and Central-West have a high standard of living compare to North and North-Eastern States. Not many foreigners know that or are interested to know that but type nonsense (what is sad and 3rd world mentality). Brazilians also need to understand that there is no classes (education) about Brazil at all, so you cannot blame them for the ignorance. Conclusion, forgive them and move on.
Nevermind the brits. That island is in decline, just like Europe. that's a fact, though they are in denial, what is sad, but it doesn't matter. Brazil has a long way to go, and even when it's called developed, it still has more room to develop because it's huge and his so much potential. wait when the Chinese yuan will rise in value, what will benefit nations like Brazil that produces not only food, but also computers, machineries, airplanes etc etc. The rise of China will transform the world.
@nickfl1980 China is in a real bad state too,the cities shopping malls are like ghost towns and have been for a while, many shops etc in China have closed down.
Europe isnt in denial,if they were in denial they wouldnt be trying to sort out their economic problems. lol
Also the UK is STILL giving Brazil aid....ironic huh! lol
@athleticguyUK indeed, that's why China's only and best way is to allow the yuan to rise and let the so called housing bubble (china istill has a housing deficit) collapse, so that prices go down. China will and must concentrate on their huge domestic population rather than on theory of being the world's manufacturing base. Europe is still in denial because nothing has changed, since 2008. Ironic, but did you know that Brazil invest that "aid" in africa through agri. businesses? Makes you go umm
@nickfl1980 Europe isnt in denial as they have been spending those 3yrs trying to solve the problems, its big news here ecspecialy this year,European leaders all getting together trying to find the soloution, not in denial, these things just take time.
And yeh we (The UK) give away far to much,we gave America $541.8 Billion,Greece £4 billion,Ireland £4 Billion New Zealand £1 Billion Australia £2 Billion, then we gave Japan,Haiti,India,Spain etc Making a lot of intrest on the loan to the US tho
@athleticguyUK I repeat, majority of Europeans are in denial about the problem and the politicians only make it worse. You cannot print more money (create debt) to reselove the debt problem. Impossible and it never worked. History repeats itself and perhaps that is the "european cultural poverty".
@athleticguyUK you don't say here, you type. second, you're mother and you are ignorant like most brits and refuse to see and admit that Europe is not doing okay since 2008. They can't, you don't solve debt with more debt, they include brits are incompentent plus with the zombies (like you) they go nowhere. I understand it's hard for you to admit reality, it's typical, it doesn't fit the ego and agenda. truth is ugly, like clowns in the UK with bad teeth. Happy 2012, feel sorry for yourself.
@athleticguyUK , The @nickfl1980 isn't only ignorant of the things that occur in Europe, but also about things that are happening in Brazil. Is either ignorant or is LIAR!
I think you are both don't have the clear vision of the situation of what @nickfl1980 is trying to expose. Your credit comes from a private bank.
Here in brazil, credit is too expensive, and the real grownth is controlled by the government. So of course the actual offer of currency in Brazil is made of money of China, USA, or another country.
He is just trying to explain to you that brazil isn't only commodities, but that some sectors of technology are contribuing to our numbers.
The protection policies are smoothly being untied, but is very strong yet...
Just for you figure, a brazilian buy a car for 2 or 3 times the price of those in USA. 2 times for those in Argentina... but this don't break the increasing of the fleet of cars in Brazil.
Before you say things about @nickfl1980... why don't you see by yourself, instead of trust in some economy specialist? I bet that those ones that you read probably didn't predict Brazil's grownth, am i right?
What did you know about Brazil, Argentina and Chile new deals of technology exchange? Did you know how discussions in Mercosul are going?
Brazil's growth can be related to commodities demands. But if you think that is all, you should change your references...
Actually Brazil isn't investing that much in agrobusiness, it's already walking for itself. The big hype in investiments today is energy. Mainly biodiesel, alcohol, nuclear plants, hydroelectric plants, and oil extraction. Brazil's is actually autosuficient in oil and coal. And is investing to grow his energy park to the future industries.
Isn't the largest forest in the world? How many foreigns don't came here to explore our nature variaty and sell to you some roots that we have in our yard for the highest value possible? Here we have great news too, the medical industry and research in Brazil is growing too.
You think that some meteor will fall from the space and kill half the population of the earth, or that earth's population will continually growing by the years?
You think that with the recession on Europe, the governments will continue to hold the entry of foreign commodities to benefit local farmers? You know how much do you spend doing that?
Any specialist that study a lot more than you is saying that Brazil will grow even more and more, why don't you listen?
We have 200 millions of hard worker people speaking ONE language, one of the biggest natural resources and energy plants in the world. But still, a lot to grow.
If you were really that smart or trustiful, why don't you stop doing free economy consulting for youtubbers, and spend all your nickels here in Brazil, buddy?
I am Really Hurt and shocked that the UK is falling instead of Climbing, The news shocked me and i feel as if someone stabbed my heart out but yet im still alive. Britain started Capitalism and commerce the US improved it and now developing countries are changing it and and out doing the Advance countries. the UK needs to stop declining as its influence will also decline, David Cameron needs to go NOW!!! Britain needs Growth NOW or else there FUCKED :-O
@shv90210 well than means no minimum wage laws and much lower barriers to entry. it also means Britain have to live high inequity because inequity is macro economic signal of economy of that is under producing. how plus Britain 22nd in population. even when the country I live which u.s.a decline is complete it still be third most populated counties in the world. influence can be base on market size.
the forcaster was probably drunk , the US have 14 ++ trillion dollars debt they are the most debted nation on earth , so how by 2020 they will still be on top ? i think to be on the top 5 your debt must be low and your export is higher then your import , the US produces nearly nothing anymore .
in the last 5 yers Brazil has done a lot. Today it has 100 million people at the middle class 42 million really rich and 47 million are poor, but does anyone have any doubt that the country is on the right rail? maybe in 10 or 15 years there ll be no more poor and the quality of live should be very similar to any rich country, be alive and you ll see!!!
Arrghh well lets stop buying all the things made in china then. even though their cheaper their stuff is fake and dosen`t work. and america will always be on top because of hollywood l.a. new york and beverly hills! =)
You know that Brazil has won? Brazil sells oil to China and China produce our brands. Why are we in crisis? Because the Chinese do not buy our brands, if they hack marks and Chinese citizens buy pirated brands. Bad move for many entrepreneurs who preferred very cheap labor. If you are English, give me like
@heckler171 If you see the top 5 in 2011, US, China, Japan, Germany and France you have still 3 Western countries and 2 Asians.
During many centuries, the White Western people had their total domination in the world, in term of wealth, influence, military power...45% of the world's territory was under the British and the French colonial Empire.
In 30 years the world will change and the main European countries Germany, UK and France will be countries without real influence and power.
@Arsene1231 Brazil is more than 90% mixed, not 50%, and this doesn't represent any problem for us, because we don't have a racist culture. Your teacher not teach you that the countries in the west of the Greenwich meridian is the Western countries? People born in a western country is what? An oriental?
@spspbr I am African (Gabon and SA). In Africa, we often say that Brazilians are our brothers. its history, its people coming from Africa, its culture, its music. and I have been shocked to read that you dare not mention that.
@Arsene1231 I said that Brazil is a country with 90% or more of mixed population. This mix includes BLACK, white, yellow and red, and those races have helped to build a unique people in the world. We have no problem with our origins, whether BLACK, white, yellow or red. ;)
@rickymad82 the western world is not inclusive of the western hemisphere although it would make sense. the western world is a code name for america and canda, europe and japan. i don't get you calling someone a dumbass. maybe you can jsut move your point across without the offensive language. i did not cuss you out
Wow, Brazil takes over the UK in the economic league table does it?. So this is a child's game of "catch me if you can" and point scoring, it is these silly little economic games that have cause all of the world finances that have completely gone how shall I say "All Pear Shaped". We all talk about the economy as if it were a living being when in fact it is all a.....
Lots of my subscribers are from Brazil and all of them would LOVE to be able to live in CANADA instead of their motherland. Lots of Brazilians in Toronto, everything turns yellow/green during the World Cup in soccer.
How many of you would rather live in Brazil or China or India instead of immigrating to UK, W EU in general, or Canada, how many?
So I guess I've already killed the whatever "meaning" of this totally misleading Euronews video. LOL
@401RoadWarrior The U.S. is the preferred country for the Brazilian immigrants, where they are contributing with 628,000 jobs, 58 billion dollars in the GDP and 7.5 billion dollars in taxes, dude.
UK is a toilet for bankers, Good on Brazil. Please stand up with other BRICS countries against US/UK hegemony.Don't let them fuck with Iran. Time to rise and shine Brazil.
I'm a Brazilian living in the UK. I travel at least once a year to Brazil. Although these are good news, I can assure you that Brazil as a whole is far far behind the UK in many aspects. This short news talks only about GDP. What really matters is Per Capita Income and Human Development Index. Check those two indexes on the internet and you will see how far we still have to go to reach European or even American standards. But good luck for us.
Well Done Brazil. But learn lesson. Stop buying european goods like cars and build your own industry. Why a big country like Brazil does not have a car brand?
@shussey100 MY DEAR FRIEND, INFORM YOURSELF BETTER. BRAZIL ALREADY HAD ITS OWN CARS BRANDS, BUT WERE BOUGHT BY GLOBAL GIANTS. MAYBE FROM NOW, WITH THE DECLINE IN DEVELOPED COUNTRIES, WE MAINTAIN OUR BRANDS. NOW, I ASK YOU: WHO ARE THE OWNERS OF BRITISH BRANDS?
Yeah great but Brazil has 3 times British population so per capita its still way poorer then the UK. Same goes for China yeah it will overtake US economy one day but it also has almost 2 Billion people. Per Capita the riches nations are Qatar, Luxemburg, Singapore, Norway, Switzerland, UAE,US, Netherlands. The only thing that saves Brazil is huge amounts of natural resources.
@DiNatalli That´s why people from Brazil didnt celebrate it...because we know this is only the first step..and maybe we will need 10 or 20 years to have developed country raitings...
@jonahfox Not realy a smart thing to say,The standard of living in the UK is far better than Brazil as they have 200 Million people and the UK has 62 million, people in Brazil dont get paid anywhere near as much as people from the UK so the standard of living in the UK is much better, much of Brazil is slums, and Brazil doesnt have the healthcare etc etc that the UK does. It will probably get there eventualy, but not for atleast 50 years or so,it all takes time.
Brazil is doing very good in business, but Brazilian should also see the bigger size of the spectrum in which can make any country developed if they really wish so. I notice as a Brazilian that most of the media and general public is much more concerned about it's economy and complacent about others things that are essential for a developed standard. @serbraz
Cara

@serbraz, there are many realities in our giant country. Don't you travel? As a person said here, Brazil is not only Rio de Janeiro, where many problems are better now (investments etc. because of the World Cup and Olimpic Games). There are many nice, calm, clean and safe smaller towns. A good example: Gramado in the South. Yes, yes, yes, Brazil has a lot of problems, some of them overvalued because of the stereotypes, but it is a rapidly developing country. All first world nations have passed through this process. We will be one of the most advanced countries of the globe for the happiness of all because Brazil is a wonderful country.
spspbr 3 weeks ago
We must consider facts like territory and population size, wealth distribution by gine coefficient. Brazil is a rich nation only for some Brazilian, it is ranked by trusted tink-tanks as a nation with unfair destribution, some of the worst nations in the planet. I want to see before dying a news that says that Brazil has become a developed one.
I don't think I'll see that news even if I'd live for a century, in a country completely dependant of commodits to grow itself. What about EDUCATION ????
MrDener2009 1 month ago
@MrDener2009, you live in Holland, a small country, easier to develop. How could you expect a giant ex-colony that had a big slavery until 1888 had already a so fair distribution? Not only some Brazilians. For what I've seen in Europe, I can tell you that Brazilian middle class live better than in Holland, England, France etc. Except in rich neighborhoods, only poor and low middle class here live in so small apartments. At least some of "the worst nations" here live better than your average.
LoyalNancy 1 month ago
@LoyalNancy What is a good living for you?? Perhaps you're one of those few middle class Brazilian, who live locked in your flat and when intend of going around the town take your bullet-proof car driving in thoses ugly places, in those street conditions I saw once I've been there.
MrDener2009 4 weeks ago
@MrDener2009, if the whole country was dangerous, had only ugly places, poor people and bad conditions, certainly so many Europeans wouldn't be here, including recent Dutch. Ask them why. There is even a Dutch town called "Holambra" (see in google). I was twice in Holland and could tell you somethings I didn't like at first sight, but I never generalize and prefer remember the positive side of each place. Your opinions seem to be more from what you've seen in the media (they love sensationalism).
LoyalNancy 4 weeks ago
@LoyalNancy Brazil is really a joke! How can a country hold such high rank as the 6th biggest in the world and at the same time post 84 out of 187 countries in HDI, that shows how good welfare Brazil places in the world, everyone knows that Brazil is growing on the back of it's rich resources and doing little or nothing for a future competitive economy. You all must prey for countries like China keeping growing, otherwise not even industries you're going to have.
MrDener2009 3 weeks ago
@MrDener2009 Você é brasileiro ou português?
spspbr 3 weeks ago
@MrDener2009, there are countries in South America etc. with "official" better HDI etc., but if you visit them you'll see they are much more poor, worse education etc. Each country and government inform what they want... Since I began travelling, I don't trust in these rates anymore. You show little knowledge about Brazil. The country can get richer, but will never eliminate completely poverty because of the huge border with many countries. Many poor people will always arrive.
LoyalNancy 3 weeks ago
@LoyalNancy Hahah, so you mean I shouldn't trust what this video is reporting...
Shouldn't I believe some of the most trusted surveys editor in the world? Hey I know your country has made some good progress economically but it is still too unequal, even taking million out of poverty in a decade couldn't solve such a disparaging problem, there are still almost 20 million in destitution, education is really a big issue in Brazil and in that is the key solution for it's problems.
MrDener2009 3 weeks ago
@MrDener2009, to be honest, I don't beleive these rates really show the reality because countries have different currencies and they convert what they produce for dollars. So, countries with stronger currencies like UK etc. get advantage. Probably in reality Brazilian economy was already bigger before. Also difficult to believe a country with 1,4 billion people like China, with good production (but weak currency) doesn't have a larger economy than the US even with a big poor population yet.
LoyalNancy 3 weeks ago
@MrDener2009, by the way, for you equality and education is "the key" and even consider Brazil a joke. But for me a joke is a country with supposed less unequality and more education, but where it's considered "normal" women exposed in shop windows as goods/objects, to be considered "developed"...
LoyalNancy 3 weeks ago
@LoyalNancy Sorry for not replying anymore of your comments!
For me is too contradicting someone who says 'do not believe rates' and at the same instance praises this report posted in you tube. Too incoherent, utter nonsense and unreliable. I'm also sorry for what's happening in Salvador, hope things get calmer. It's so sad to see news like that, it must be hard too be poor in a country like Brazil.
MrDener2009 2 weeks ago
@MrDener2009, where am I praising the report? I just responded to comments. Do you mean the strike in Salvador? I saw in Internet (Dutch Daily News) that only in 2010 there were 21 strikes in Holland. It must be hard to be rich there. I'm good in "space wars" in Internet, but don't worry, I won't sing the music "Ah, se eu te pego" (Oh if I catch you) for you... :-)
LoyalNancy 2 weeks ago
@LoyalNancy Strikes are quite normal to have in any country, what is not normal is almost 160 deaths in only 10 days walk out. Not even in Greece totally screwed up financially having lots of tough protests we see that. Security is getting worse in Brazil day by day even recognizing was never good before, most of the police are involved in crime practice for the low wages they earn. There's no such a corrupt country like yours, money can't buy ethics.
MrDener2009 2 weeks ago
@MrDener2009, it was a police strike in a city with more than 3 million people. Abnormal would be if any crime happened. I saw now in your channel that you write in Portuguese and know slangs that only a Brazilian would know. Probably another immigrant who believed that could have a much better life in Europe etc. It's psychological: you all need to focus only in all bad things you can to avoid admit the truth: you left everything for nothing, miss the good things of Brazil and are not happy.

Good bye.

BebeHistoric 1 month ago
@BebeHistoric Only Brazilians with a low self esteem likes to talk about cultural poverty, whatever that is. That education needs to improve in Brazil is a fact, but government cannot do it alone. It's also up to the loud mouths in Brazil who love to bitch about it but does nothing about itself. That needs to change though you have that kind of mentality everywhere. Deindustrialization in Brazil is overhyped, though it's a threat, go to Detroit in the US to see real deindustrrialization.

Just to you figure what is that:
In the state of Alagoas (Northeast), 63% of the population are poor*.
In Santa Catarina (South), just 12%*.
*Including poor and miserable people, that holds a big difference. In Brazil, poor people
don't stay hungry, because of the inumerous social and governmental actions.
The good news is: in all our country, 53% of the population is inside middle class.
That's pride for us, and we will work hard to increase it even more.
marcioaso 2 days ago

All what Brazil needs (President dilma already plans that) is tax reform that's based on production and a tax reform so that Brazilians can save and buy their own products that they produce (Intern and extern).
nickfl1980 1 month ago
Brazil standard of living is high, it depends in which state you live. States in the South, South-Eastern and Central-West have a high standard of living compare to North and North-Eastern States. Not many foreigners know that or are interested to know that but type nonsense (what is sad and 3rd world mentality). Brazilians also need to understand that there is no classes (education) about Brazil at all, so you cannot blame them for the ignorance. Conclusion, forgive them and move on.
nickfl1980 1 month ago
Nevermind the brits. That island is in decline, just like Europe. that's a fact, though they are in denial, what is sad, but it doesn't matter. Brazil has a long way to go, and even when it's called developed, it still has more room to develop because it's huge and his so much potential. wait when the Chinese yuan will rise in value, what will benefit nations like Brazil that produces not only food, but also computers, machineries, airplanes etc etc. The rise of China will transform the world.
nickfl1980 1 month ago
@nickfl1980 China is in a real bad state too,the cities shopping malls are like ghost towns and have been for a while, many shops etc in China have closed down.
Europe isnt in denial,if they were in denial they wouldnt be trying to sort out their economic problems. lol
Also the UK is STILL giving Brazil aid....ironic huh! lol
athleticguyUK 1 month ago
@athleticguyUK indeed, that's why China's only and best way is to allow the yuan to rise and let the so called housing bubble (china istill has a housing deficit) collapse, so that prices go down. China will and must concentrate on their huge domestic population rather than on theory of being the world's manufacturing base. Europe is still in denial because nothing has changed, since 2008. Ironic, but did you know that Brazil invest that "aid" in africa through agri. businesses? Makes you go umm
nickfl1980 1 month ago

Actually Brazil isn't investing that much in agrobusiness, it's already walking for itself. The big hype in investiments today is energy. And is investing to grow his energy park to the future industries.

During many centuries, the White Western people had their total domination in the world, in term of wealth, influence, military power...45% of the world's territory was under the British and the French colonial Empire.
In 30 years the world will change and the main European countries Germany, UK and France will be countries without real influence and power.

@heckler171 Brazil is a Western country, bro.

@spspbr Why? black and mixed are 50% of Brazil. are they also western?
Arsene1231 3 weeks ago
@Arsene1231 Brazil is more than 90% mixed, not 50%, and this doesn't represent any problem for us, because we don't have a racist culture. Your teacher not teach you that the countries in the west of the Greenwich meridian is the Western countries? People born in a western country is what? An oriental?
spspbr 3 weeks ago
@spspbr I am African (Gabon and SA). In Africa, we often say that Brazilians are our brothers. its history, its people coming from Africa, its culture, its music. and I have been shocked to read that you dare not mention that.
Arsene1231 3 weeks ago
@Arsene1231 I said that Brazil is a country with 90% or more of mixed population. This mix includes BLACK, white, yellow and red, and those races have helped to build a unique people in the world. We have no problem with our origins, whether BLACK, white, yellow or red. ;)
spspbr 3 weeks ago
@spspbr so why do you say that Brazil is a Western country? Brazil is a country of the new world with all the peoples of the world represented.
Arsene1231 3 weeks ago
@heckler171 Brazil is also part of the Western world, dumbass!
rickymad82 1 month ago
@rickymad82 the western world is not inclusive of the western hemisphere although it would make sense. the western world is a code name for america and canda, europe and japan. i don't get you calling someone a dumbass. maybe you can jsut move your point across without the offensive language. i did not cuss you out

LOL

Why a big country like Brazil does not have a car brand?
shussey100 2 months ago
