Congratulations Kansas. Kansas does have the best roads in the nation. I am also pleased Kansas is looking toward using supplemental Amtrak service along the I-35 corridor to defray some of the more expensive highway construction costs. New or expanded roads are not always the best solution to a transportation problem. Shifting some passengers and heavy freight to the railroads will help preserve the quality of Kansas roads for generations to come.
