It's unbelievable how so many things in this film are referrencing, like this I mean the chartacters for one; the prostitute (Satine), the man (Christian), and all the emotions the argentinian mentions, like Desire, Passion, Jelousy etc. I mean I watched this film last night and this is my fave song but I never knew christians lines at the end of the chorous were "you're free to leave me, but just don't decieve me" also a referrence if exploited enough, good job Luhrman.
