  • you look like LeToya Luckett and your sister looks like Kelly Rowland from Destiny's Child

  • You are wonderful! I am an advocate for natural hair. I did the big chop 2 years ago and I transitioned to sisterlocks. However, natural curly hair is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Thanks again.

  • u guys curls are so cute

  • I think my hair is more like your sister. Can your sis do a update? Thank you lovely ladies/

  • Where do you get the witch hazel from and what brand do you use? I have never heard of using witch hazel beforebut I'm willing to try it.

  • Dprincess28 + Raven Symone can I say TWINS!

  • You remind me of Raven Symone when you wear you natural hair

  • The two of you are beautiful :-)

  • Hey DPrincess, is your sister going to do the flat iron video? Patiently waiting still...lol. Take care ;0)

  • Oh what a good idea. Thanks it was really interesting an useful. Much appreciated!

  • I love this - colour and curls...;-) thx for the vid!

  • hey! is that you in this movie called Preacher's kid?

You are sO cute! your hair and your skin are so beautiful!

    take care of you

  • hey! is that you in this movie called Preacher's kid?

You are sO cute! your hair and your skin are so beautiful!

    take care of you!

  • thank you so much DPrincess28 for I am transitioning to natural and I feel my hair will be similar to ur sister's texture.

  • What cute little bows!

  • I've got you sis beat :-) I'm a distance runner and I wore the weave 'back to back' for about 11 years. i have tons of hair but the edges really suffered. i must say i would not recommend it as a protective style its too adidctive.

  • Great video, this was sooo helpful!!!

  • I was just wondering what hair type are you and what hair type is your sister.

  • wow nice hair

  • Thanks for directing me to this vid i put a weave on b4 kept it in two months and my stylist told me to at least leave it out for 2 months... Bcuz of the shedding.. Eshh makes me not wanna put anoutha

  • aww both of u r so pweety n so is ur hair...

    lovn ur vids,,xxx

  • I haven't had a relaxer in over a year, yet the ends of my hair on the top of my head are straight, while the back of my hair is curly. I know that the relaxer has been cut off, but how can i continue to take care of my springy curls while growing my hair out?

  • "An alter ego in a healthy way" I love that because that's so true.. I can relate to that feeling..

  • Ur sister is so beautiful, and so are u.

  • Thank you so much!

  • If your sister wanted to, could she have natural hair as long as yours?

  • Believe me, my sister's hair can grow longer than mine. It's always been long. Questions like these always get to me, because black people are no different than anyone else--our hair can be any length we want it to be.

  • Wow thats so cool! You both have really nice healthy looking hair :)

  • @pigcat17 look at 6:41 thats how long her hair is straighted

  • Great video - I made the final decision to go natural 2 weeks ago. My last relaxer was about 1 1/2 month ago so I'm starting my transition phase.

I'm happy that your sister talked about the straw set because I'm leaning toward that style to get me started. Keep up the good work..thanks

  • Both sisters are beautiful!!!! :0)♥♥

  • Thanks so much!

  • You're welcome!!! You look as though you are part asian.

  • Your sister's hair is beautiful!!!!

  • thanks for the information, upfront, and honest, look forward to more

  • Great Video!

  • this is efinately my favorite video

  • hook me up with your sister..

  • lol

  • Great Video!

  • really good

  • great video!

  • great video i think i want to get a straw set like her but do it myself though. i like that style on her.

  • this video was nicely done. both of yall did a good job.

  • u guys look beautiful , ur hair is beautiful. ROCK IT!!!!!

  • I loved this video. It was so inspiring. I will stay the course!

  • I really like this video. Very informative. Nice.

  • what do you use in your hair coz its really nice and long

  • Beautiful! Love this vid. Its was very informative! Thanks :-)

  • does your sister use the same regimes as you?

  • when i get a straw set my hair gets tangled. what can i do to stop this and to help my straw set last longer. I do wear a hair bonnet at night.

  • Can I answer ur question? I love straw sets and I feel like I mastered them:-) Make sure all the hair is completely detangled before you roll it, otherwise it will dry tangled (duh, right?) use generous leave in and then natural oil, then roll the hair. NEVER take them out until it is compeltely dry (trust me) i like to use the cool setting on the blow dryer, and also let it air dry over night.

PS Avocado oil is amazing 4 my hair, esp detangling. U should try it!

    Peace

  • Awh, that was nice. Thanks for comin to speak "Girl with curls" =). My younger sister is natural also, but only because she has no one to do her hair in Canada! LOL!! I look forward to being fully natural, 11 mths and counting..

  • lol she said installed! lol

  • Your sisters hair is so long

  • i am in the process of transitioning, and this video is very encouraging, thank you

  • im in love wit yur hair

  • wow her hair long!

  • Great Vid

  • I learned so much from this video! I am going to try a stray set... Beautiful hair!

  • Thanks so much for this video. I've been transitioning for less than three months but it has been difficult the last couple of weeks. I usually get a relaxer every 4 to 6 weeks so going 11 weeks without one is a BIG DEAL for me. A straw set is an option that I had not thought about before, but I think that this can be a great help in my transitioning process. Thanks again!

  • Your sister is gorgeous. Both of you have beautiful hair!

  • Thanks so much!

  • Your sister's hair looks wonderful. Personally, I don't have anything against weaves, wigs, straight, wavy, or curly hair. I LOVE all hair styles and types. But boy do I think your sister is doing herself a BIG favor with the straw sets. It's very gentle and it looks nice to boot! Good for her! And it's great she has you to help her out when she needs advice!

  • Thanks so much for this video. I've been thinking of going natural for the last year or so. This video has helps to show me some of the options. Thanks again.

  • i like it

  • Aww, that's so sweet! Thanks :-)

  • thank you

  • Very nice! I love rockin' the flex-Rod set, it's my fave!

  • aww i love this video. thanks. Your big sis and you are both beautiful. I never thought of doing straw sets on my natural hair...that's definitely an option now. What does the salon use on your sisters straw sets to set it? Setting lotion? Gel?

  • wow this is very inspiring, not only because you are natural but to hear your sister is to makes me be patience and keep at it. Thanks and you and your sis look alike

  • That was very nice. A nice Youtube show about natural hair. This is why I love this site because you never see stuff like this on TV ":)

  • Awesome video thanks for the valuable information!!

  • You both are beautiful thank you. I'm still going strong and even stronger now with my transition.

  • This was a superb video!!! You and your sister are beautiful and intelligent.

  • yea im trying to get my sister to go natural.. she is convinced her hair texture is nothing like mine, but still that doesnt mean she cant go natural. the whole point is we all have differenent textures, thats the cool part about hair

  • This was super informative!!!! Great video!

  • you sisters are so beautiful!!! Inspirational...

  • I am so ready to feel that empowerment of natural beauty once I BC! My hair will finally be screaming at the top of it's lungs: "Freedom"!

  • So inspirational, and not just for hair. Great to see sisters supporting each other. I been natural for just over 4 months. I must say, it's a bit tough. I ain't giving up though!

  • Your sister is so pretty! Thanks for sharing this, I love her straw set, its lovely.

  • Thanks! I'll tell her you said that :-)

  • aww loved the last pic. Nice ladies =)

  • Both your hair looks great. I'm texlaxing now only leaving the relaxer in for 7 minutes only. I don't use heat that much anymore and I moisturize everyday. That was a very big step when I started doing that.

  • Your sister is so beautiful

  • great video, very helpful and informative.

  • hey ,how are you? I am a natural woman for forever but I still need some help sometimes. I hear you talk about hair care forums that you read from. can you share?

  • longhaircareforum{.}com

  • God bless you ladies! Your video's are very helpful and I am so grateful.

    x

  • OH MY GOODNESS! That straw set is stunning!

  • I love this video. It is weird how you prefer to wear your hair with curls, but love your hair straight, and your sister is the exact opposite. I love to wear my hair straight. I used to flat iron twice a week every two weeks. Now, I am suffering from the damage. NO MORE HEAT is my challenge for the summer.

  • GORGEOUS LADIES!!

  • Thank you! I appreciate the compliment :)

  • I must say I have some good days and some bad days with my natural hair. I did a co wash yesterday and measured my hair and it is longer. I love that is is healthier and fuller. I have taken notes off your videos along with some others and you guys are correct on products and hair care. All I have to say is thank you my curly hair is become way more defined and no breakage and no dry ends..I love being natural..natural is awesome.

  • That's great! Thanks for sharing :-).

  • I transitioned for almost 2 years also. I always wore micro braids for 2-3 months and waited a week to put them back in. I got tired of wearing braids and early this year, Feb 09, I just got tired of wearing braids and it was breaking my edges off. I said I will only wear braids in the winter for protective styles but I don't know if I'm ready to put braids back in my hair.

  • I had the same problem and this is what made me decide to go natural. My BC was on May 29th. I have a TWA and I love it. I us Miss Jessie"s products. I am looking at other products. I have done the straw set and I loved it. I do the front lace wigs and that was good going thru the transtion.

  • Thanks for the video! Very inspirational...

  • you and your sister are 2 beautiful woman and just keep up the good work we love u...

  • Aww, that's so sweet! Thanks!

  • thanx for the 411 mama :)

  • Bravo! Bravo! I loved this episode. DPrincess, you are such a great interviewer. You and your sister are gorgeous women. I loved the honesty too about what weaving can do to our hair when used excessively. I adore wearing my big fro, but you're right, it is not the preference of every lady and that is ok. As you've shown there are many options for natural ladies.

I hope "Girl With Curls" makes another guest visit. She's awesome just like you.

    6 stars! :-)

  • Love it! Thanks for sharing this with me...I sooooo needed the encouragement to stay on my journey. Thanks again!

  • I would like 2 see u

Work ur magic on ur sister
