My dogs jump without one 80% of the time... I don't remember why they were on that day. I think it was because I had to tie one up, untie the other, jump the one, tie the one up, untie the other, etc. Teddy's deaf and Dusty is like his hearing guide dog, Ted's always glued to Dusty's side so that's we I tie one up lol

My 4 year old Italian Greyhound has been trained in agility sence he was 2 and he can jump about 3 feet or 3'3 around there. But that is pretty high for a brison

wow lol, that's high!! :P Yeah, these guys are both less then a foot tall at the withers (?????) lol, so they are jumping about a foot and a half lol, but not all the time. Mostly they jump about 10-13 inches high :)

They've been jumping and doing agility seriously for a year in this vid but about 2 years now :)

They started jumping at 3 and 4 and they're 5 and 6 now. Dusty's the older one by a year :)

Actualy over random objects in our house such as the couch and table and on the counter when I ask and if I set up some jumps she will get very excited and jump over all of them and her bones and joints will be perfect even when she is 8 years old farther then that and tey will probly begin to get bad from old age

I know from experience that the bones and joints will weaken and she'll prob be lame a LOT earlier. I'm not saying this to be a bitch or anything but I'm actually concerned :(

wow, that could explain alot about my dog, we used to do dog agility and she has a few problems, like althritis( i hope i spelt it right) at age 5! and messed up hips and torn ACLs! she recoverd quite a bit though!

I got that same set once, (weaves, hurdle, tunnel, finishline... etc) it broke so easily. I still have the tunnel, but that's it. xD

We've made jumps from PVC pipe now. They're much sturdier.

I should do something like this with my dogz too! I know who will win though... Lucky's not much of a jumper. xD

they came in a beginner agility set and they're like yellow plastic sticks lol. They are hollow so you can stick more together to make them longer. And they came with jump cups but mine broke so i just use clothespins and they work much better!! :P

Just a tip - if you put a pole in front of the jump where they are going to take off it'll make it easier - or change it into a spread, especially on the bigger jumps =).

that is a very cute video, I love it! just a few tips, if your dog is deaf you can teach him to jump by a hand signal. Also, if you pull on thier collars before they jump, they will not go as high. It may take time to get them to do it on there own but it will happen. Dog naturally resist against tension. Have fun and keep up the good work!

Thanks for the tips!! And I'm glad you liked the video. Dusty just needs that little tension on his collar before a big jump because like any small dog going to a big jump, he'd rather go around but I'll try less tension and see how it goes. Thanks!!! Oh and Teddy's not really into jumping. He knows hand signals for tricks and stuff but likes to sleep better. Ill try hand signals though. bye
