  • Celebrating the 15th year is more of a Latin American tradition, it means that the girl is now a woman, and @reuka080 the 15th birthday to you may not be important but to most Latinas (myself included) it's a rite of passage.

  • Why do people celebrate their 15th birthday a little more special than the rest? What's the difference?

  • @hipgang2007 You mean 18?

  • No I don't mean 18.

  • Well, nothing's special with the 15th birthday. On the other hand, 16 is special because it's sweet sixteen. And 18 is debut.

  • Oh.. also, 1 an 7 is special. :)

  • What? Seriously? One is probably special cause it's the 1st birthday the person gets but why the 7th? Just because it's a lucky number?

And I know the 16th is sweet sixteen...but what exactly does that mean?

  • Well, I'm not pretty sure. Maybe that's that.

But I've never heard special celebrations during 15.

  • I heard it and it's just different you know. I seriously wonder why they would celebrate the 15th.

  • @hipgang2007

Well, now, I am wondering, too. :))

  • If you find out, don't forget to tell me.

  • @hipgang2007

    Sure. :)
