  • When you pull back...make sure that you squeeze your back. Then release slowly. Then pull hard again squeezing your back...then release slow again.

  • When you do any pulling for the back pretend you have big meat hooks in your elbows and somebody is pulling the hooks back slowly forcing you to squeez your shoulder blades together. This will help isolate the lats when you train. I like to go light to really feel the burn in the back about 10-14 reps.

  • i had the same problem as you up until a few months ago... i would train my back to absolute failure everytime, but i still didnt feel anything in my lats the next day. but then i started to do pull ups (palms forward) with additional weight strapped to my waist ( i did 3 sets of 12 reps with 20 kg extra) and also 3 sets of dumbell rows using my core as a stabalizer... and i literally couldnt move the next couple of days.. try that, if that doesnt get you sore then you are a machine lol. peace

  • yeah its hard for me to feel the lats when im doing the exercise but most of the time I definitely feel it the next day.

  • Same hear ='(

  • thats why i do it my own way, where i can feel my lats

  • yeah thats normal when you start out but you gotta lift some moderatly heavy weights
