ahh, damn all those people who say S&B were/are dysfunctional. first off, all couples/families are. their fights had PURPOSE. sonny opened up his locked heart and brenda faced her insecurities. yea, it hurt, but their love healed. all this guza re-write of how terrible they were for each other etc etc was NOT the original conceptualization of S&B, a la claire labine. she called her brenda strong and feminist. she said her brenda was not a 'dickensian heroine' who is weak and a victim.

@katjamendez - thank you for that info. I'm glad claire said that and I knew it all along. I think Guza's rewrite is a disgrace and I'm sure she is thinking the same thing. Watching their story unfold is torture nowadays. Did you see the episode yesterday? Carly was playing with Alec and Sonny obviously couldn't care if he disrespects Brenda or not now.. seems like he doesn't want this marriage thing to work.
