I cry every time I watch these movies. Not because they're sad (because they all end happily), but because it's reminds me of my childhood. I always wanted to grow-up, but watching these reminds me that I really don't want to grow up. I want to stay that little kid I was in the 90's.
The first movie was the best. Unlike the other two, there was a realness to it that the other two movies didn't have. There were subtleties, like how most of the Ducks were from working class families, so that kind of added to Gordon's struggle to make them try to rise above what they were constrained in.
Like the scene before the final game, where they're all lined up against eachother, and you can feel the tension in the air...that solidified it for me. Yeah, it was a kids movie, but...
This is my favourite Childhood movie that was based on a True Story. Quack!!
I just wanted to do that once and it was a laugh. Oh and for those of you who dont know this there is a real hockey team out there called the Ducks and even though Ive never actually watched one of their games they have my support.
@TheRandomGrabber Yes it was a true story according to my information. If you want you could provebly find out for yourself by googling (Hocky Team the Might Ducks) you'll provebly get something.
@TheRandomGrabber Really I guess my information source doesn't have reliable information for me yet again. The source in question is one I rarely use but suffice to say they usually have reliable information but just not this time I guess.
@TheRandomGrabber None of your buissness. @TheRandomGrabber No its not quite like that with me I trust her because I know she has the skills to cut my hair right and not make a total mess of it like the one other person whom I trusted to do it once and that person will go nameless.
As for how much I trust her I trust her more with my hair than Id trust the NHS with my life and also Im the type who likes to keep their hair long and not short since the Bald Genius look doesn't suit me nor is it my style.
@TheRandomGrabber The British National Health Service thats who I was refering to by NHS. Oh and Ive already trusted them once with my life and they let me down big time. Im lucky to still be able to speak to you right now.

the camp fire is the next one lol i watch them all the time there my best film ever i played hockey for yrs played for my country when i was 14 so yer all good :)
Thanks so much for posting The Mighty Ducks on here. I haven't seen it for ages and they just don't make movies like this anymore. Definitely a fantastic song to end with.
why do i remember them sitting by a camp fire at the end singing 'we will rock you'? Am I thinking of one of the later installments or a completely different movie lol?
Anyway, amazing film. Never fails to cheer me up. :)
@bm91xx yes, you're thinking of the end of the second Mighty Ducks movie. D2: the mighty Ducks where the kids are in middle school and go to the Junior Olympics. D3: is where the kids are in their first year of high school.
what happened the "winning it all" by the outfield playing when the bus leaves and the credits hit. talk about a let down, i was waiting for that song.
@twoliveted I know, that's always something that's irritated me. When the film was broadcast on the Disney Channel, I could hear this tune very clearly, but I've always been annoyed that the VHS release does not even have the song during the credits. What happened?
i wasnt born wen this came out. but now that i have watched it, it was AWSOME!.. and yes some kids my age now are missing out on a lot of things.. bt there is some kids that sports are their life..love this movie!!
i now realize how much i was missing out by not watching this movie for a while. was a great movie and still is. this will not be an annual thing for me
watching this classic again i cant even imagine them showing something like this today... with the drinking and some of the stuff they say, parents today would never show their kids this... It's an awesome movie, and i remember being a 7 year old kid watching this and just having that urge to play hockey after watching it... they dont make movies like this anymore, and it's a shame cuz this brings back some good memories

haha the 90's were a great time. i still remember when this movie came out in 92', it seems like yesterday, but damn the 90's were ages ago..when we're at 2010 now.
my friends cousin is goldburg, he does stand up comedy now, and I met the big kid from little giants, and he was drunk, good stuff, they dont make movies like these any more, its all harry potter, and twilight.
ever since the original founder of Disney, Walt Disney died, Disney has gone down the gutter. i grew up in the 2000s but i was so curious about this movie. I love this movie along with the MIGHTY DUCKS of Anaheim. great memories forever now. Disney has turned to crap sadly.
I see. it was sad that they fell one game short of winning the Stanley Cup. That would have been epic cuz Disney himself and his writers would never have been able to write a script like that,
For some odd reason when they aire this on televison sometimes I notice a change in the credits. In this version the song Champions and Rock you from Queen is played but in the televison version it's the song "Winning it all" So is this like a uk version or what?
The first time I remember seeing this was when I was about 8 or 9. I remember having such a crush on Guy and one of the Hawks' guys. I think it was the nicer one. . . Larson? I only remember because I told my sister and she told my cousin who teased me mercilessly for years about it. Disney is definitely messed up now. The classics, like Aladdin, The Lion King, etc. Oh, how we miss GOOD Disney movies. I agree with achievergurl and everyone who commented about missing the 90s and stuff.
lol, yeh i remember seeing this i was like prob 10 i think it was at a friends birthday. but yeh disney had so many good classics in the 90's and actually won awrards. now they put on whatever sells.... kids these days are missing out.
my sister and i are in watching movies like 'Princess Protection Program'
(which I find not so amazing)And I'm so glad I had the chance to see this movie.
Along with other ones like The thirteenth year,or Little Giants(non Disney, but whatever).
Disney movies are now unoriginal and boring, while these ideas are insanely creative and have morals. The use of swear words are also for emphasis which was good, unlike movies with every sentence containing the f' word.
Gotta love that Movie!

I agree with achievergurl and everyone who commented about missing the 90s and stuff.

totally agree. Does anyone else reember Newsies? That movie has a cult-like following. I'm one of its members ^_^
If Walt was alive today, he would hate what his legacy has become.

my sister and i are in watching movies like 'Princess Protection Program'
(which I find not so amazing)And I'm so glad I had the chance to see this movie.
Along with other ones like The thirteenth year,or Little Giants(non Disney, but whatever).
Disney movies are now unoriginal and boring, while these ideas are insanely creative and have morals. The use of swear words are also for emphasis which was good, unlike movies with every sentence containing the f' word.
