I can answer his question for you - despite the quality of this vid you one can notice that he was looking at the bolt to make sure he didn't screw anything up and that the gun won't jam. 0,5sec glance can assure you that the gun will shoot when you pull the trigger. He was just making sure the reload was perfect. :)

The video was fine and dandy, but in a real situation where a split second is long enough to get you killed, plus maintaining awareness, reloading quick is out the window. Now if you were facing the Walking Dead, this would be handy.

His skill is obvious, which is the reason he is not the type of solider to get himself into a situation with no cover, no suppressive fire and having to reload in the line of fire in the first place.

He could engage, take cover, reload and reengage making his opponent think his magazine is a bottomless fucking pit of ammo.

First second, first flip he should have send that mag flying, by kneeling he made it actually harder to pull out the mag to reload. In combat kneeling would not help unless you have cover to kneel behind in that case best take more time to reload, control your breathing and put your gun back on target.

Its good but I would grab the fresh mag before dropping the spent, it eliminates the need to travel to the mag well more than once. I am not sure if thats faster for everyone but it appears to be faster for me. All in all it was a good reload.

He was simulating having to do a speed reload as you would in combat, soon as your rifle stops working for whatever reason- first thing you always do is check the chamber to make sure it isnt malfunctioning and it is indeed actually out of ammo. If it ended up being a malfunction and you went about it like a speed reload you could end up putting yourself in worse standing. Always chamber check. ;) - He had trouble pulling the mag, & still a great reload. -Will
